Great vegan fish and chips! - Edit
Stopped by after a visit to the Elsecar Heritage Centre and was pleasantly surprised to see five vegan mains and several vegan dessert options on the menu. We picked the fish and chips (banana blossom) which came with mushy peas and vegan tartar sauce. Everything was delicious, massive portion size and you could tell everything was freshly cooked - proper chippy chips and light crispy batter on the banana blossom. A wonderful meal 🍽️ 10/10 would recommend a vegan pub lunch here if you’re near by!

Good food. Banana blossom "fish" and chips was really good, including vegan tartar sauce and mushy peas.

Much better than the average star rating on here suggests.
3 options for dessert with vegan ice cream as well.
Pretty cheap for 2025, nice place, good food.

Fabulous Sunday Lunch with friends - Edit
Food fabulous and service excellent! Mixed group of 4 people including 1 vegan and 1 vegetarian. Everyone happy with the choice and quality. There are a couple more vegan options on weekedays I believe, such as pizza and maybe a starter or 2. As we were in the mood for Sunday Lunch we were happy with our choice of Vegetable Roast (can be served veggie or vegan) and Vegan pie (both were tasty) other vegan options were available.

One vegan option in each section of the menu. So a starter, main, burger, pizza and pie. Plus vegan brownie for dessert. I had the vegan cauliflower cheese pie, which was fine. They have plant milk for teas and coffees.

Service bad / limited vegan options - Edit
Service was pretty poor, very limited vegan options also (for both food and drinks), none of which are that good. Managed to get the order wrong twice, overall pretty bad experience
