Serves meat, vegan options available. The Mango Tree, situated in the heart of Belgravia, a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace, is a part of London that will be forever Thailand. The back pages of the 20 plus page menu is where the Vegan section is with over 20 dishes. It's a lively place, but intimate enough for a special night out. Other locations are in Bangkok and Dubai. Note: Reportedly some vegetarian dishes may contain fish, check first before ordering- please inform HappyCow. Open Mon-Sat 12:00-15:00, Mon-Wed 18:00-23:00, Thu-Sat 18:00-23:30, Sun 12:00-22:30.

Wouldn’t recommend

We had eaten here before (a few years ago) when vegetarian and it was good.
It has a vegan menu now (although the waiters kept referring to every dish as vegetarian when talking about them, which was unnerving).
They got one dish completely wrong, and failed to bring us two dishes at all (although they didn’t charge for the either).
When we explained this was why service charge was being removed they didn’t seem to really grasp that there were multiple issues.

As per someone else’s comments about fish sauce I’ve got to say that one of the dishes tasted like it may have included some: in a vegan menu. So might still be problem

Hard to trust.

Pros: The food is tasty, Decent cocktails, Presentation good. Portion size good.

Cons: Service is confused. Poor communication, Too expensive for what it is, Dubious vegan provenance

Overpriced

I visited this place prior to being vegan when I was vegetarian. I felt the service here was always rushed and impersonal and did not like the fact they put a time limit on how long you can have the table. I understand why they have to do this but felt it dented the overall experience. The food was decent, would not stay stood out in any way hence felt the prices were a little steep.

Watch out for fish!

I have only visited once, but please note that waitress informed us that dishes labelled as vegetarian labelled do contain fish sauce.

Probably not the best restaurant for vegetarians. Apparently fish sauce is added for flavour - waitress failed to see why this may be a problem!

Slightly Disappointing

I decided to visit this restaurant as I was in London for a training course with some meat eating colleagues. The separate menu of Vegetarian and Vegan options offered adequate choice however my (vegan) food arrived consistantly later than the meat eaters food. The food was okay but by the time my rice arrived my curry was not warm. The meat dishes were apparently excellent or so I was told. There is entertainment which was interesting (dancing mainly) but beware they add a discretionary 12.5% service charge.

Pros: Serves Meat Dishes

Cons: Busy, Serves Meat Dishes
