Delicious!

A good number of vegan dishes & appetizers. The masala dosa was delicious! And the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about veganism.

A sound option for Indian food

This group of restaurants has friendly staff, quite a range of vegan dishes and a positive attitude towards veganism and HappyCow, especially the one located in Vasastan. I must admit I haven't been overwhelmed when eating there, but never let down either. Objectively speaking Shanti or Holy Cow might be slightly more accomplished in their fare, but it's become so tough to pay in cash there, that I find the South Indian, Masala Masala or Ellora to be better options.
I've been patiently waiting for a vegan dessert called pal paniyaram, which I'm told will be served soon, at least in their Rådmansgatan location. That, or a vegan lassi (maybe already available?), may well take them to another level, as the standard dishes do the trick, but aren't that different from the usual deal at Indian restaurants in Stockholm.
On an optimistic note, l woudn't be entirely shocked if the South Indian or Masala Masala were to follow in Stikkinikki's footsteps and turn one of their establishments into a fully vegetarian or vegan one. The time is certainly ripe, so let's hope they will at some point soon.

Lots of vegan options, but boring taste

The menu looks exciting with the dishes which you don’t usually see on other Indian restaurant menus. But the execution doesn’t deliver. The food is just not flavourful.

Both the dips for the appetisers and the main course had runny watery texture and tasted, again, watery, and dull. I thought one cannot go wrong with a lentils soup, but it was really boring too. I got a feeling they had run out of lentils.

The drinks on the menu weren’t available, only alcohol-free beer. Which could easily be compensated with the food, but it wasn’t.

Pros: Nice staff , Lots of vegan options

Cons: The food is not tasty
