Not great - Edit
A few tweaks and this could be a gem. We were surprised that a nice, cozy vegan eatery like this served everything in take-out packaging. Even if you’re eating in! This is weirder because there are pics of food on plates (seemingly in the restaurant) from other users on here so this was a recent decision?
Read moreWe received breakfast burritos in take out boxes and took the wrapped burritos out of the totally unnecessary boxes to eat them out our table. Then came the burrito - the potatoes in it were almost as hard as coins. Gross. We took them all out. The coffees were weak. We had no choice but to drink water out of single-use plastic water cups. All of these things could be easily fixed to improve the experience/ reduce waste. Not a great breakfast.
Friendly staff though. Nice environment.

Pros: All vegan, Small business, Nice looking place
Cons: Plastic cups for water, Everything served in take-out packages , Hard potatoes in burritos

To be clear, we asked about the packaging, in case they were mistaken that we were taking the food out and they confirmed that that’s how they serve all of the food.

It was okay - Edit
We had a quinoa salad and the raw tacos. Salad was light on quinoa and heavy on the greens. The tacos held up well with the cabbage leaf (clever), the taste was good; just not enough for me, personally, to want again. I really like the raw taco recipe I use and am biased. We sat outside at one of the two tables. We enjoyed the area and people watching. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Decent Sammies - Edit
A long list of Sammies and salads greets you at this cool basement cafe. Tried the hummus and Mediterranean. Both decent and made with wholesome ingredients. Located next to a whimsical metaphysical shop which is great to look around in.

Beet Burger Headquarters - Edit
Unique restaurant in the old downtown area of Redlands. Great atmosphere. Large menu. The beet burger was a little dry but still tasty. Very dense bun. The raw tacos had a thick white cabbage leaf. The avocado toast was basically a sandwich, rather than an open-faced toast. Friends say this place is terrific, so maybe we visited on an off-day.

House made hot sauces - Edit
Ordered: The Goliath, Sloppy Jack, Screaming Metals, Heart Beet
Read moreStaff very friendly and helpful, explained several of the menu items and their house hot sauces. The green jalapeño was thicc like a spread and the red sauce was thinner with a habanero base, both were great but I liked the jalapeño one better probably because I thought it was interesting to have such a thick hot sauce. The atmosphere was nice and after the meal they gave us black bean brownies to try.
As the name eludes, The Goliath is a massive sandwich, I’m a sucker for texture in food and the layers made this one very enjoyable with some proper crunch. The Sloppy Jack was great too, if you weren’t vegan growing up and remember eating sloppy joes, this sandwich got the flavors and textures right to have a nice sloppy sandwich that will bring you back to days at summer camp. Both juices tasted great but the sweetness in the Heart Beet made it the favorite. Looking forward to coming back and trying more on the menu.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great staff, Indoor and outdoor seating

Cute little place with basement seating. - Edit
This little healthy cafe with juices and smoothie reminded me of Cascara in Bath, Somerset, UK. Both offer healthy menu and with basement seating. Glad I was able to stopped by for a smoothie bowl. I will definitely return to try their healthy meal and smoothie for the road.

B.L.A.T is amazing! everything else is just ok - Edit
i went here for lunch today and got the b.l.a.t and the orange envy juice, which were both delicious! my dad got the hummus veggie sandwich and the recovery elixir juice, and didn’t really enjoy either. i tried his juice and it kind of tasted like cake? or a donut? but not in a good way. it was 30 something dollars for two juices and two sandwiches...which is wayyy too expensive if you ask me. overall, i would definitely go back again but only if i were alone and got a smoothie or a juice, since a meal here is pricey.

Good stuff - Edit
Disclaimer, I have not been here in person. I ordered a BLAT from DoorDash and was very pleased with the quality, freshness and taste of the sandwich. It came with a side of vegetable soup, which was also very tasty. I will definitely visit this place soon to try some of their other delicious looking options!

Hey man, I eat nothing but plants all day. I need to eat a lot of plants. It’d be awesome if the portions were bigger! The service can be slow at times as well.

Good, hearty food and fresh ingredients - Edit
The B.L.A.T. sandwich was good, made using Dave's Killer Bread and vegan bacon (possibly the Lightlife or Morningstar brand). It was like what I would make at home. It came with a broccoli slaw which my husband loved. The muffins are delicious, made with oat flour, cacao nibs, and other yummy ingredients. If the place weren't so small, and if the food menu was longer I'd give it 5 stars.

Good Vegan food - Edit
Just passing by on our way home from Big Bear and we found this place on Happy Cow. Ordered the B.L.A.T. sandwich and the quinoa chili with the corn bread and they were very good. The ingredients in the sandwich felt fresh. We will definitely come back.

Nice Place, Nice Employees, Good Food - Edit
I have been here only once, and ordered the beet burger. I was really impressed with it; I seriously love that burger! Would return and order again. Also tried one of their cold-pressed juices; which was okay... Just picked out the wrong flavor for my liking is all. I'm definitely trying the others later. Best of all, their employees are super friendly and sweet.
