Nice little place

Friendly staff, several vegan option that look tasty!
The "fish" (frozen from Quorn) &chips (sweet potatoes) was a bit small, sadly no dips, it was good but a bit disappointing.
The super green soup was very good but burning hot, I actually burn my tongue at the first sip and felt it for several days so, beware! 🔥
The pie (frozen from Clive's) was also a bit small and dry.
The desserts were really good although overly sweet for some (eapecially the carrot cake).

Update: the toasted sandwiches are great 😋
The staff always so lovely!

Amazing food and lovely staff!

I stopped by here last August on my way to Mull, and had an amazing veggie sandwich with salad and some fab chat and even some recommendations for on my trip from the staff. It’s a wee place but so much thought and care in all the options and the cafe is braw. Staff really know their stuff too so took care that I knew if I was ordering vegan or veggie things.

Pros: Whole veggie menu , Loads of vegan options , Super knowledgable, friendly staff staff

Really lovely wee cafe

Tons of vegan options, this veggie / vegan cafe is a really nice place to get a lunch and escape the rain. It feels a bit pricy, but the portions are really big and the staff are really lovely 💚

2 visits in 2 days

Unexpectedly had to spend a night in Oban which was definitely made easier after finding The Little Potting Shed. Great menu with lots of choice for both vegetarians and vegans and gluten free options marked clearly. Yes not cheap in comparison to a greasy spoon but you get what you pay for and this was worth it.

Pros: Lots of choice, Dog friendly, Takeaway options

Nice lunch

A lovely find, good range of options for a light lunch. Casual cafe atmosphere. Sandwiches were somewhat plain (literally quorn nuggets in bread), would have appreciated more salad.

Awesome!

Really tasty, good quality and reasonably priced food. Service was friendly, helpful and food came quickly. Pretty extensive menu with almost everything being vegan or with a vegan option. Currently longer opening hours than is listed here as well. Seem to be open till at least 5 today (Sunday 12th sept).
Probably one of the best veggie cafes I've been too in the UK.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly, efficient service, Dog friendly

Cons: Only 1 cafe, need 1 of these closer to home.

Cracking breakfast

This was our 2nd visit and we loved it even more. Fantastic friendly staff and awesome vegan breakfast ( the veggie haggis is addictive! ) which set us up for our sail south. We’ll be back.

Pros: Vegan, Friendly staff, Dog friendly

Cons: Too far away from where I live!

Tasty food

Tried this when visiting family in the area. We had a vegan BLT (This isn't Bacon) and lentil soup with a veggie cheese scone. It was all really nice. The staff were really friendly and we felt really welcome, especially seeing the breastfeeding welcome sign :-)

We also grabbed a carrot cake and vegan scone to go, which were both lovely later in the afternoon!

Cake nice but generally overpriced

I had the carrot cake which was yummy and was about £4, not tooooo bad but the rest of the food on offer seemed extortionately overpriced. One of the burgers was £18.50 and the pies £15.50 and I heard one of the guests complaining to the manager that it wasn't satisfactory quality. Also, the rest of my party had scones and found them to be dry, only for us to overhear that the scones are frozen (and the pies are also frozen). Doesn't seem good enough quality to match such high prices.

Pros: Fairly good cake

Cons: Overpriced , Not fresh

A fantastic find in Oban for vegan breakfast!

I was so glad to discover The Potting Shed in Oban. The staff were lovely & helpful, the food was hearty & delicious. there were loads of options. They also made our nervous barky young dog feel very welcome with water bowl, treats & doggy ice cream. I can’t recommend this gem of a place enough. Well done guys. We also took vegan cakes out with us too. 👏🏼

Pros: Friendly staff, Lots of vegan options, Dog friendly

Cons: We don’t live close enough 😂

Overpriced and disappointing

I really wished I had a positive review to give but unfortunately I don't.
Being the only vegan/vegetarian place in miles the prices are ridiculously expensive (£15.50 for a tikka masala, really?).
I never eaten vegan food that expensive and I live jn London.
The place looks nice and yummy but the vegan burgers were mega disappointing: tiny bap with a meatless farm patty with mayo. No fillings, no character, it felt like no effort had been made. Accompanied by a tiny bit of undressed salad and sweet potatoes fries that were half raw and half soft and mushy (this was also £15.50). I had beyond meat burgers with lots of fillings and proper fries for less than that in London.
About tikka masala: sauce was tasty, rice was good but the vegan protein used wasn't cooked. Bits of it were soft and others were hard as a rock. Like they had been added into the sauce while still frozen and just had not defrost in time.
Very disappointing considering there's no other place to go in a fisherman's town.
Note: although I would still find it expensive I would have been happy to pay if the quality of the food was good.

Tonnes of vegan options

It's a busy little place, with just 4 tables, we just got a table so maybe be prepared to turn up early and book a slot to come back or get takeaway and sit on the seafront.

The staff were really nice. Massive menu. We landed on vegan "fish finger" sandwich and vegan "chcken" sandwich with soup. Took oat milk lattes away too.

Food was good and comforting on a soaking wet Scottish day.
