A new venture from the former owners of Bean There, which used to be next door. An organic bakery and cafe with seating inside and outside (weather permitting). A good choice of main meals, including several vegan options (such as veggie burgers, casseroles, soups and bakes), which are served with a variety of fresh salads, including in-house-made vegan mayonnaise. All vegan options are clearly labelled. There is also a wide selection of cakes and pastries (many of which are vegan), as well as Crema coffees and other drinks. Confirmed closed, Oct 2015.

Vegan everything

Very cosy, perhaps a bit crowded café. Proprietors are VERY vegan-friendly; mayonnaise and relish are vegan and there were several cakes to choose from. Hot chocolate is vegan and you can have ice cream or cream on your cake; everything a vegan could wish for! The savoury dishes (a bean burger and a curry) arrived with HUGE salads and I was initially dismayed, seriously wondering whether I could plough my way through it all. So avoid this place if you hate salads. My only issues with this café were ergonomic. The huge plastic chairs seemed a strange choice as they wouldn't fit under the table, and the toilet is ridiculously sited under a central heating boiler. The "Mind Your Head" signs and foam rubber strapped to the boiler suggest that a lot of customers have already hit their heads! Would prefer this to be changed.

Pros: Huge portions, wide vegan selection, friendly staff

Cons: Hazardous toilet

Lovely Food, Friendly Staff & Cute Gift Shop, too!

Arrived in Bridlington the other day to find the only veggie haunt, Bean There, had closed... however, to my delight, The Little Organic Bakery had appeared next door! It is nicely decorated and very clean, with nice touches, such as a 'carafe' of water on the table, along with special vegetable & herbal salt and a proper pepper grinder. I asked the staff which options were vegan, and they were very knowledgeable and helpful; I opted for the lentil bake, which arrived promptly after my coffee, and came with several tasty salads and, amazingly, vegan mayonnaise. It was a tasty and filling plate of food, which sadly left me too full to sample the delicious-looking desserts, but I did managed a second, fabulous Crema coffee. £6 for great, home-cooked meal and £2 per coffee, very reasonable indeed! Will definitely be returning here. Oh, and there's also 'Heart & Home', a new gift shop upstairs selling handmade ornaments and vintage trinkets- nice, but a bit pricey.

Pros: Several Vegan Options, Homemade food, Friendly Staff

Cons: Not open in the evenings.
