Great for a quick lunch by the lock!

We came here after taking the riverboat from Maidstone up to Allington. It’s just a couple of minutes walk from where the river boat stops and it’s in a lovely spot next to the lock.

When we visited they had both savoury and sweet options and we tried the vegan sausage roll, veggie Cornish pasty and vegan and gluten-free flapjack. They also had a vegan milkshake, vegan sorbet and vegan ice cream, although we didn’t try these.

The sausage roll and Cornish pasty were both tasty and they heated them for us. I also really enjoyed the flapjack which had a nice dense texture and sweet flavour.

This is a lovely spot to sit and eat a quick lunch by the river!
