Such good burritos

I would love to hate a vegan burrito with tofu and beans, because they ARE BOTH BEANS!!!! Tofu is soy and the beans are either black or pinto. However, my favorite burritos here are (1) the grilled vegetable burrito with added tofu verde, vegan black refried beans, and guacamole, OR (2) the vegan plantain burrito with black beans.

Pros: It tastes good, The people who work there

Cons: It’s not on the menu

Decent flavors.

It was great to have the option in Noe Valley, since there aren’t many choices for vegans. We got the plantain burrito which was pretty good and a burrito with grilled veggies which was great. Chips included, good salsas!

Good Plantains

I went to the location on Valencia, and the person who took my order was friendly and accommodating. I got the fried plantain and black bean tacos with no sour cream to make them vegan. I thought they were great! Good flavor and really good with their habanero salsa. All of their salsas are great and the chips are good too. I've been back twice, and might try something else new, the chile verde tofu sounds good. Hoping for more vegan options too!

Pros: Good salsas, Knowledgeable , Accomodating to vegans

decent options

Nothing fancy, but tasty. Grilled veggies, chili verde tofu or wild mushroom options as fillings for tacos or burritos. Vegetarian black & pinto beans. Fresh salsa bar with lots of options. Reasonably priced, and easy to order vegan.

Pros: fast service, reasonable prices for the area

Just okay

I love that they cater to veg but my experience was slightly lackluster. In a city where Mexican fare often exceeds expectations, even if it means you get something very basic to make it a vegan meal, I've always been impressed. The plantain burrito just didn't make the cut. Very little taste. The atmosphere is awesome, though. Communal tables and quick, great service are definitely part of the quintessential San Francisco casual spot experience. I've been with vegetarians and they've all loved it, so I wouldn't discount it entirely if you're vegetarian.
