Great healthy veg fast food - Edit

I came across The Little Beet while looking for lunch in DC, and was happy to find it. They have a small menu, just bowls of salad or grains with topping, but it's very healthy and filling, and there are vegan options. I love any place that serves falafel, and was thrilled to have a salad bowl topped with fresh beet falafel. Their ingredients are clearly labeled, so it's easy to get a vegan and/or gluten free lunch in a hurry. There are table inside and out, which are comfortable for a quick meal.

Pros: Healthy foods, Clearly labeled ingredients, Vegan options

Cons: More fast food, though table are available

Vegan and gluten free fast and fresh - Edit

Most places that are gluten free are so heavily laden with meat products or dairy, that I just don't bother. Ha ha- The Little Beet had defied my preconceived ideas about the gluten free community! Thanks!

Plus, they are very receptive to the vegan concerns. I can only imagine that is because if it's 100% gluten free, they are conscious of dietary restrictions. Yes!!! I couldn't be happier about this non-100%-veg place... Very close to as much joy as having a vegetarian place open.

The staff are on point and make your food in an open area. The sides are pre-made, and are mostly vegan. The charred veggies and some salad dishes. If you are not sure, ask, as none are labeled. They do label some items like the carrot ginger soup, but the rest is not as clear. Thankfully, the management was extremely supportive and lightning-fast responsive about my vegan concerns. I will be sure to ask every season!

This season has some salads/ entrees easily veganized. When in doubt ask for no yogurt or cheese. Easy! Tofu and veg patties, vegan. Juices- awesome. Sides- delicious and fresh. So good.

For non-vegan fast food style eatery, this is probably the best I could hope for as a viable option!

Pros: Very vegan friendly, Juice and salad, 100% gluten free

Cons: Grills salmon and chicken..., Doesn't mark everything that's vegan
