Very good if you are in the area

I would say this is definitely the best pub in the area for vegan options it’s also a great environment especially at Christmas time! Warm and cosy and clean.
I had the vegan burger and chocolate brownie. Good sized portions. There are starters as well but I wanted to save myself for desert ! I think the menu changes every so often.
Also oat and soya milk for coffee.

These are good quality vegan options not just a “token” bland vegan option.

Pros: Separate vegan Menu, Good options , Good environment

Cons: Does serve meat

Lovely food and lots of vegan options

There is a separate vegan menu at The Lion and it changes seasonally, although there are usually burger, pasta and nut roast variations. You can have 3 courses and a choice or dishes for each course! They do seem to put effort into the vegan menu and it doesn't seem like an after thought.
