Disappointing - Edit
Staying in Ilfracombe and based on reviews from here I went here with my family for my birthday dinner.
Read moreHad the vegan fish and chips and was so disappointed! It was banana blossom but there didn't seem to be any seaweed like I'd expect to make it ‘fishy’ and it was just too much batter and I felt sick.
The service was ok and the view was nice but that's it. Meh.

Nice vg fish and chips - Edit
Really nice banana blossom fish and chips. Tasty batter, lovely chips and great peas! Not greesy, would eat there again.

Thank cod - Edit
Since going vegan, I've had an eternal hankering for fish and chips. The Lime Kiln really delivered, the vegan "fish" has the same texture as the real thing, but it's less greasy, and it came with vegan tartare sauce. The peas were also nice and fresh and not too mushy.

Vegan fish & chips! - Edit
Discovered this lovely restaurant via Happy Cow. Went to their website and booked online, it was a Sunday and they had a vegan nut roast but I was desperate for vegan fish & chips! It was delicious, jackfruit ‘fish’ with fresh mushy peas and vegan (as standard apparently) tartar sauce. Started with butter bean hummus with pitta. Will definitely visit again
