Vegan burger notoriously unavailable

I used to go to this pub all the time and had the delicious Moving Mountains burger, however lately every time I try to order it - they're out of stock! Don't get me wrong - it's great that it's selling out, I suppose I should be happy that more people are choosing plant-based options, however in this case The Lighthouse should gear up a bit better to make sure it continues to offer these options to more customers.

On a plus side - vegan beer is clearly labeled and staff is generally really friendly and helpful.

Pros: good plant-based options, vegan beer available and labeled, great garden

Cons: always running out of MM burgers

Mixed results

Very nice decor, good beer, friendly staff, I had the sweet potato chickpea curry and it was very tasty, just the right amount of spice, good portion. I believe they must have read the previous review and decided to change things. Hubby had the Buddha bowl. Colorful with snap peas, kale, broccolini, sweet potato and red bell pepper, crunchy quinoa, the accompanying sauce (ginger miso) was disappointing though, too watery. So, this dish lacked flavour. The coffee was really good, but strong.

Tiny Portion of Bland Curry

There's lots of positives. The pub is nice inside and has a nice garden. It's a good setting for a Sunday lunch or on a summer evening. I liked that they had biodegradable straws. I also liked that they had a meat-free Monday menu and a few good veggie & vegan options the rest of the time.

But the main course I had (the tofu coconut katsu-style curry) was awful. There was hardly any of it and it was totally bland. When I mentioned the portion size to the server he checked with the chef who just said that that was how it came.

Needless to say I'm not going back and can't recommend it to anyone.

Cons: Tiny portion size, Bland and tasteless, No attempt to satisfy customer
