After an adventure to Niagara Glen Trail it was time for a much deserving grub. I didn't search for vegan options in Niagara as I was prepared to stop over in St.Catherine's or Burlington for food if nothing was available en route to Toronto. I was quite surprised when a quick search took me to a gem of a place. Not just any restaurant but one that's fully vegan 😱! What's most impressive is that they carry gluten, soy, nut, onion and garlic free menu options - a first for me or any restaurant I've visited. All restaurants should follow their lead;in my opinion, it makes your dining experience so much easier & pleasant.
Read moreOverall, what we ordered was delicious. My least fav was the lasagna which was quite basic and bland;however, the pita and greek salad which accompanied were the best part of the meal. It's a tad pricey for what it's worth but will return when I'm back in Niagara.

Came for a light dinner. Ordered the poutine and hot mezze to share. I liked the variety in the hot mezze and we enjoyed everything. Poutine could have been more flavorful. Prices were a little high in my opinion.

Hands down one of the best meals I've ever had, and I've been vegan 20 years. The owners and chefs have lived in and cooked Mediterranean for years and really have the flavors locked. Tuscan flatbread with 3 cheeses, one of which is homemade feta, with tomatoes and balsamic drizzle. Not-so-secret-menu Stuffed Chicken with Artichoke Dip on Grilled Romaine. Yes please. Wish we were here longer to go back again. Asking Happy Cow to update the description to better describe their extensive menu. Insane cheesecakes (they're light and fluffy!).

Excellent and unique vegan option in the Niagara area! - Edit
The food was delicious, the ambience was lovely, and they have some vegan adaptations of Mediterranean dishes I haven’t seen before. There’s also a “not so secret secret menu” that has some fun American-style food on it, so it’s easy to find something to eat for different tastes in your party. Portions are also enormous! I got the Burek Lunch, my partner got Mediterranean Pasta, and we had buffalo fries as a starter. The mocktails are good too and a nice change of pace. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area! Beats anything available near Niagara Falls by miles.

Recently went to The Lemon Tree for the first time. I was seriously impressed with their extensive menu and various menu choices. In addition to their menu they provided, they also had a “secret menu” available online. I decided to go with the 7 layer Greek dip and Burek with a side of fries. Both were amazing, especially the Burek, which is something I have never been able to find made vegan before! They also have delicious cheesecakes for desert!
Read moreThe restaurant was fairly busy when I was there for lunch. Service was quick, and the server was friendly. Price was reasonable for the quality and portions of the food. I can’t wait to go back again soon!

The food was so good! We had margarita pizza and spinach and artichoke dip with pita as appetizers. We then had vegan chicken wrap with Greek vegan salad and Bheran dish. For dessert, two cheesecakes that were so rich and delicious!! The service was so friendly and nice.

10/10 for flavour, selection and service. Hearty portions at a super reasonable price. Everything tasted awesome and my non veggie boyfriend loved it as well. I had the buffalo chicken cauliflower wrap with a Greek salad and a pink panther cocktail. The drink menu was also fantastic with great options for going out with a group including pitchers of sangria and mojitos and flights for cocktails.

Food was excellent. Everything was very fresh and bursting with flavour. The falafels were dense but soft inside and crispy outside. Pita was warm and buttery. Very generous portions, probably could have shared one entree between 2 people. Prices reasonable too. Highly recommend.

We don’t have a lot of vegan options by us, so we were excited to find this place. I would describe our experience as “but”. The food was good but there was too much salt used. The Pita bread was good but it was microwaved. The service was okay but she seemed overworked (and she said there is only 1 server working at a time which left many tables un-bused). Would we go back? Probably.

my non vegan husband and I came here on our honeymoon! For appetizers, we shared the artichoke & spinach dip and the mozzarella sticks (from the secret menu). The tzatziki dip that the mozzarella sticks came with was also a delicious dip for the pita bread! For entrees, I got the mediterranean pasta. It was good, but I wish I had gotten the chicken parm pasta (on the secret menu). I didn’t love the pasta. My husband got the beyond steak and added the shrimp. He enjoyed it, but prefers seitan steak. He didn’t love the shrimp. I thought the steak and rice were good, I LOVED the potatoes. I didn’t try the shrimp. For dessert we got the salted caramel PB & chocolate cheesecake. I loved it, he thought it was a bit too rich. If you’re a chocolate fan, try it!

The Lemon Tree was recommended to me since I was going to be traveling to the area. I am so happy it was! It was definitely some of the best food I've had in a long time, if not ever! The real highlight was the coconut shrimp. We ordered some for happy hour, and then ordered a second serving to go because it was that good! Everything was amazing though, and the servers were so kind and attentive. This will be on my list as a must stop the next time we're here. Give it a try! You won't regret it!!

Update: We came back the next night and feasted. I got the lasagna and my wife got the shawarma plate. We also got the buffalo cauliflower and the calamari. We finished with the salted caramel cheesecake. Excellent.😄

We were so pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavours of absolutely everything we ordered. We had the calamari and the cauliflower wings, followed by the Greek platter. My partner had a Caesar salad and falafel. All made in house. Highly recommend swapping out the beyond meat skewers for their house made shiitake mushrooms on the Greek platter. It’s not on the menu but just ask. Has the texture of pulled pork and the flavour of a good bbq. The tzatziki was delicious. And you would never know the baklava was vegan; decadent and buttery. Also they have a fantastic selection of non alcoholic beers and mocktails.

We’ve been there 2 times so far and both visits were so satisfying to my tastebuds, I didn’t want to even drink water for a while afterwards. Main courses, appetizers, cocktails and desserts, all are so good. I’m very new here but I read people say it’s one of the best in the region and I’m not surprised at all. Can’t recommend enough.
