Vegetarian Restaurant with vegan things

First i was rejected, a younger staff member helped to clarify what is vegan, and which things are not vegan.

That was after long talks vegan at The Lemon Tree in Jaffna

Among Jaffna's best options

This place deserves to be in the conversation for Jaffna's best thali at a low, low price. The waiters are are friendly, with some staff giving special attention to explain each and every dish proudly, sometimes repeatedly. Takeout options include samosas that are kinda closer to empanadas and several dessert balls/cubes. Bottles of ghee are on display, so don't assume "pure" means vegan. I probably had ten meals here in three weeks, often followed by myriad ice cream options in the area (though again, good luck finding vegan versions). The rock-bottom prices mean local construction crews may dine en masse here. Not quite as cheap, tasty or unique as Nallur Bhavan, but still excellent.
