Lovely restaurant with vegan menu

I was actually in the area to go to Catch but unfortunately that was shut now so I ended up here instead. It actually turned out great!

They have a dedicated vegan menu with lots of options. I decided to for the pea soup, polenta cubes and hummus.

They were all delicious and the staff were super friendly! I would definitely go back again.

Pros: Vegan menu, Lots of options, Friendly staff

Worth a visit

Staff were extremely pleasant and asked me on arrival whether I was vegan or had allergies, so I was handed the right menu immediately. I enjoyed the vegan breakfast. It was plentiful and tasty though a bit expensive (thank you Brexit). The pot of tea was tiny and arguably should have been included with the breakfast but there was no issue getting a top-up of hot water. My main complaint is how long it took for my food to arrive, hence only 3 stars. Apparently a biggish group got in ahead of me and the chef was new.

Tasty and imaginative

Appreciate the different, slightly more imaginative options here! The menu was slightly different than on their website and instagram. They also have a main dish of panko tofu with katsu sauce and pak choi for £13.50. The hummus has changed to be lemon and basil with a pine nut dukkah. Those were the main changes.

We got:
-the tahini yoghurt with artichoke and pomegranate (our favourite, outstanding)
-the hummus (I could just eat hummus by the bucket so I'm easily pleased but this WAS gorgeous. Not sure the pine nut dukkah could really justify being called a dukkah though. It was just pine nuts haha)
-chickpea burger (VERY basic and plain compared to the rest, was absolutely fine but wouldn't recommend)
-batata harra (delicious spicy potatoes - not really spicy at all but tasty)
-aloo tikki with spicy chickpea (yummy but forgettable compared to the tahini etc. Honestly tasty though so don't let me put you off)

Service was very lovely and friendly, just a bit slow. We had a concert to go to and were getting a bit antsy about the time when our food still hadn't arrived 55 minutes after sitting down. All good in the end though!

Best food I’ve eaten

1000/10, honestly might be the best vegan meal I’ve ever been served. So much flavour and even the flatbread was exceptional. I couldn’t recommend this place more

Pros: Full vegan menu, Great coffee, DELICIOUS

Absolutely incredible

The best English breakfast I’ve ever had.. and it was in Glasgow. Highly recommend. I would give 5/5 stars if I could.

Great brunch options

They have scrambled tofu which is a win, and a variety of brunch options. Had one of the small plates which was delicious too.

The food is nice but

I had breakfast here and it was great. Lots of vegan options which are quite creative and varied. But the portion sizes are fairly small for what they charge. What lets it down for me is the staff, I don’t really blame them as I get the feeling it’s not a great place to work. On several occasions I’ve had issues with them not being particularly helpful or pleasant, such as arguing with each other whilst I waited at the bar to pay.

Maravillosa comida vegan

Comida deliciosa! Pero me encantó especialmente que tienen un menú vegan aparte de la carta principal y con buena variedad y calidad. Amé la hamburguesa haggis falafel demasiado exquisita!!!!

Really good brunch

We tried the Lebanese breakfast and the Mexican tofu. The Lebanese breakfast is better, but the Mexican one was still really nice!!! The herby potatoes in the Lebanese brekkie were a stand out 😋
Staff were really nice. I did think the place was closed when we first arrived bc it’s quite dark inside! I feel like they could do with some brighter lights but maybe it’s atmospheric 🤔

Pros: V nice staff, Coffee delish , Lebanese potatoes amazing!

Cons: Pricy, Poorly lit

Magnificent - if I could give them 5 stars I would

The Left Bank is my go to restaurant for when I have lunch with colleagues or friends who want meat and some who want vegan. Separate Vegan and Gluten Free Menus. I have worked my way through almost all of the vegan menu and I have loved every single dish. This team has absolutely nailed "vegan-friendly" and the staff are welcoming and fun and always happy to help.

Pros: Vegan Menu options are delicious, Friendly welcoming staff, Clean, spacious, and appealing decor

Good vegan options, inc brunch

Left Bank is a lovely venue with a great vibe. The menu is small but there's plenty of vegan options there.

They have some good vegan brunch options, although they're a little pricey for the area (£10-12)

Look out for their vegan nights where they have special menus; well worth it.

Lovely vegan menu and the staff are just the friendliest bunch of people.

This is a brilliantly located place in Glasgow’s trendy west end , with the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. They were just lovely and made the meal and evening out so much better.

The vegan menu is quite substantial considering it’s not a vegan specific place, something that is becoming more common although not yet commonplace so that’s a huge bonus to The Left Bank.

I will definitely be back and encourage anyone looking for a nice meal and drinks with mates to give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

As we’ve just come out of the 19th lockdown, I understand why businesses like this may (or may not) have had to increase their prices a touch, but even though this place is a touch pricey, the food and staff make it worthwhile.

Pros: Vegan options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. , Friendly staff. , Brilliant location in the west end.

Cons: A touch on the pricey side but worth it.

A real buzz

This venue is ideally located in the heart of the west end of Glasgow. It’s perfect for that pre or post walk/run around the area. Vegan breakfast was great but for vegan haggis lovers, this haggis has more of a falafel taste and texture. Delicious but just letting you know.

Decent vegan menu

This is a good place to go for vegans: The menu is large and varied and the food (particularly the burger) is nicely presented, with many greens on the side, and very tasty. Prices are okay, but on the higher side. The place has more the feel of a bar than a restaurant.

Pros: Nice food, Side salads

Cons: a bit pricey

Classy interior with vegan options

This place looks nice and caters to vegans, vegetarians, and non-vegetarians which makes it good for when people come to visit. They have a separate vegan menu, but we had to ask for it. The first time I had the vegan chili, but it was very, very spicy - and I like spicy food. The second time I had the laksa noodles, which were good, but lacked protein. I begrudge paying an extra 3.50 for tofu. If someone comes to visit maybe we'll return, but we won't be rushing back.
