Reach for the stars

Nice place for a cheap pint and some run of the mill vegan food. The vegan breakfast is always a decent option and the new vegan chikn katsu curry looks quite promising. For groups they also offer a pre-booked vegan buffet for £9.99.

Pros: Good real ales , Decent vegan options

Cons: Could do with a refurb

Not bad

I had a few side dishes instead of one main meal. The food was ok and not a bad place to go with kids for a quick meal.

I wish there was plant milk.

Happy for these options. But there could be more.

Variety in vegan options - clearly labelled

There are four or five specific vegan options for mains - and three vegan desserts. My partner and I were in Berwick for the day and were a bit pushed for vegan options and this place really delivered.
For mains there's a curry, burger, cottage pie, and a no steak and ale pie. Also a couple of starters / sides including loaded nachos.
I had the no steak and ale pie with a jacket potato as the vegan potato option. It came with peas and a tasty gravy (no margarine / vegan butter but the delicious gravy made sure nothing was dry!). Partner (vegetarian) had the mac and cheese with jackfruit topping which he said was delicious. We had the vegan apple custard pie/tart for dessert which was surprisingly tasty too! Not the most fantastic food but really decent value and so good to find a place with several vegan options in the area.

Very disappointed

Choose to eat here as need omni options for child with sensory issues around food. However whilst they have vegan options on menu there was no plant based milk available for my coffee.

Lentil and root vegetable bake was very bland and came with side of veg which was included rubbery carrots.

Won’t be back

Pros: Has vegan options

Cons: No plant based milk for coffee, Rubbery veg as side dish

Good service & vegan / veggie options.

Our food came quickly and although it’s chain pub fare it was great with clearly marked vegan and veggie options. I had the plant based burger with nachos as the vegan option and the 3 other veggies had burger with chips, fake steak pie & foot long nachos. Everyone was happy with their food and it was a very reasonably priced meal for 4 with drinks

Pros: Lots of clearly marked vegan options , Lots of veggie options , Quick service

Pub With Vegan Options!

Think along the lines of Wetherspoons and that's what this pub is. Order on an app and food comes served to your table or order at the bar. A decent selection of vegan options including a couple of starters, some mains and 2 different desserts (sticky toffee pudding and apple pie with custard!).

I went for the double stacked soya burger with a side of nachos (chips are vegetarian but not vegan) and enjoyed it.

Pros: Lots of vegan options including desserts, Cheap, Decent pub grub
