Great to have a few options in Vava’u

Staff were very friendly and happy to answer questions ensuring that specific items on the vegetarian menu were vegan. Vegan isn’t a common dietary choice in Tonga, but when spelt out that we want no meat, dairy or eggs, they are happy to check with chefs to confirm. Some meals were labeled as vegan at The Kraken which was great to see.

Pros: Some variety which is uncommon in Vava’u

Cons: The dishes were simple with only a few ingredients
