Wouldn't go back

Agree with the last review. It was awhile since I went and I had much higher expectations than what I experienced. Hardly any vegan options and the ones they had were lacking in a lot of ways.

Meh

It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. We went in for breakfast and ordered two “vegan scrambles”, and coffee; the only vegan option for breakfast. Coffee was good, and the dry toast and jam was good as well.
The plain, cold tofu topped with cold pico de gallo was flavorless, at least the warm potatoes fried in butter made it palatable.
Nice place if you want to inconvenience the waitress.

Pros: Dry toast and jam was good, Coffee was good

Cons: Expensive ($30+ breakfast for 2), Small, cold, tasteless portions , Waitress seemed put out

Two hot vegan breakfast options, both solid

Went here with non-vegans and vegans alike. Everyone was satisfied. The vegan selections were both soft tofu-based: vegan scramble, which was tasty, and the vegan skillet, which was tasty, albeit a little too oily. If you have to go with one, go with the scramble.

Pros: Breakfast options

Cons: Skillet a little oily

Nice to have a 24hr vegan option in Salem

This is a great addition to Salem. While there's plenty of 24hr-ness to Salem, there is little pronounced vegan friendliness to them. Here, there's many clear,y marked options, and some of them (the scramble) are fairly flavorful, some (like the lentil soup) are a little bland. For Salem, and the overall quality level, most of the prices are quite exaggerated. Example mercy examples of fine vegan cuisine with Meals at some of Portlands nicer vegan restaurants can be the same price, so I'm not sure how diner food in a lower rent city like Salem can justify that, but it is a nice option for vegan insomniacs in Salem.
Service is attentive and friendly and there's lots of cool small downtown businesses nearby.

Pros: 24 hours, Friendly , Lots of vegan options

Cons: Over priced, Hit and miss quality
