Fab little coffee shop

Popped-in for a coffee while in Torquay and was not disappointed.

The lady that runs the Kind Grind is absolutely lovely and we had a great chat :)

Nice place, great coffee, awesome small business xx

Amazing independent coffee shop

Torquay can be proud of the 100% vegan establishments it has. This is one of them, a place my partner and I were keen to try whilst holidaying in the area. On walking in, we were greeted by a dog with a huge smile (yep, it’s dog friendly) and a woman behind the counter with a big smile. The decor blends a fairly clean look with rustic, homemade touches such as the quote boards on the walls and wooden furniture. A large menu behind the counter shows your options along with a couple of smaller boards on the counter.

Our milkshakes and sandwiches were freshly made to order. You could tell the fruit milkshake had a good concentration of actual fruit from how thick it was. Sandwiches (mozzarella and tomato with pesto) were divine and full of flavour.

Not only is the establishment fully vegan, they also have a pay it forward scheme for hot drinks and a ‘pantry’ anyone can donate food to, or take if they’re in need. Couple that with the use of degradable takeaway containers and paper straws (had a good chat with the staff about the overlap with zero waste) and there are so many things to like about this place. If you come to Torquay, this place is a must to visit.

Yummy, simple food

Had the facon and cheeze panini. Tasty and just what we were after as only wanted a small bite to eat for lunch.. cake looked delicious too but I didn’t want to fill myself up to much! Had a decaf iced coffee too. Friendly staff, family friendly & I liked the decor. Felt at home.

Wonderful!

We visited the Kind Grind cafe while staying in Torquay on holiday, and loved it! We felt instantly welcomed, and the coffee and cakes were excellent.

Torquay has an all vegan coffee shop!

Nice coffee with a choice of plant milks including my favourite oat milk. A selection of cakes, cupcakes and cookies - I sampled a slice of the banoffee cake was good with a nice light sponge. A few simple savoury lunch options too (soup, baguettes and panini).

Pros: All vegan, independent, Nice coffee and cake, Approx 10 min walk from seafront

Cons: Family focused so a bit on the noisy side for me
