New seitan recipe! - Edit
Kebab Zone has really upped their vegan options with an improved seitan recipe (it's so flavorful!). They now have color-coded their menu screens with many traditional appetizers that are all vegan, displayed in green. The training of their staff has improved. In addition, they've added several new vegan salad dressings, including vegan Russian and vegan blue cheese!

Yummy food - Edit
My daughter and I wanted a quick snack so we split the vegan gyro wrap and she had a small garden salad. They asked whether we wanted white sauce (which has dairy) and substituted hummus at no charge. Prices seem high but they include free delivery. Because we picked up our to-go order ourselves we got 20% off. The food was tasty—just what we were looking for!

Has vegan shawarma, but underwhelms - Edit
We miss shawarma, so when we saw they have a seitan-based alternative we decided we needed to go.
Read moreThe seitan shawarma itself was OK. The platter was served as the seitan over rice in one container; raw salad in a different container; and a (fairly hard) pita and white sauce on the side as well. The portions were small and the food was bland--the white sauce did the lion's share of the work as far as flavour is concerned.
The seitan sandwich was largely the same. It was also remarkably small for the $13 it cost.
Generally, I found the price to be out of step with the place and quality of food. For the above and 2 cans of soda we were charged roughly $40 (after tax, before tip).
I suppose the main reason we were so disappointed is that the place is highly rated in online reviews in several popular sites, so we expected much better. We did notice that they had a sticker on the window promising a discount to patrons who reviewed the restaurant, so that rating is perhaps not as bona fide as one would hope.
The staff was quite nice, though. That and the fact it was open late are the only redeeming features I can see.
Pros: Open late, Nice staff, Veggie options which aren't falafel
Cons: Expensive, Small portions, Food is a little meh

Careful when ordering - Edit
They list options with vegan in the name but include the non-vegan white sauce by default, even if you select other sauce options in the delivery apps.
Read moreCalled to hopefully get this fixed for all future orders and will update the review when I get to try something other than the stuffed grape leaves (which are pretty good!).
Cons: Vegan gyro not vegan by default
