No wonder they are closing

Although I have to agree, the food is delicious and makes you want to come back for more... their elitist attitude and air of superiority is hard to swallow. At first, they refused to take reservations so you had to take a chance every time. Very hard to do when you are planning dinner out with friends... now they only take reservations, no walk-ins.

Pros: Delicious middle eastern food

Cons: No walk-ins, Disregard their customers’ time

In The Hummus Club we trust

Visited here last week Wed evening with close family and friends. The a la carte menu wasn't being offered. Instead it was a fixed menu including appetizers, mains, dessert, and drinks for $69pp. I had some concerns over whether $69pp would be worth it, especially considering that all courses were designed for sharing. The Hummus Club proved me wrong and I'm so amazed at how! The food, ambience, and service were all top notch (they certainly have an ear for excellent service! 😉) I was impressed also at the speech that the founder gave that night; The Hummus Club is not just a restaurant, but a vision to introduce Perth to the creativity of Middle Eastern cuisine and promote unity amongst all. Definitely worth a visit, not just for the food but for the experience.

Fantastic Mid East Food Experience

Came upon this restaurant by chance during brief stay in Perth. Given the exotic descriptions on the menu coupled with my appreciation for adventure, my wife and I decided to splurge by having “The Experience” a blend of various dishes on the menu with a few added treats. After disclosing a couple of food items we prefer to avoid (goat cheese, olives, eggplant), the waitress offered a graceful “no problem”. She returned with a most delicious traditional mulberry and plum gin drink, told us about it and joined us in the accompanying “shukran”(sp?) toast. Ty is was quickly followed by a series of shared dishes, each of which totally unique and amazingly scrumptious. We savoured about 6 dishes and couldn’t believe it when we were presented with a final but large plate of roasted chicken. Wow! Knowing deserts were to follow, we packaged for takeaway much of the chicken. So glad we did so because the “chocolate Halwa Brownie” was incredibly great delicious. Of many travels and meals across the globe, this “Experience” was truly a meal we will always remember for its unique and most amazing tastes and presentation. The servers were very friendly and accommodating and the ambience is vibrant, upbeat. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly.

Some of the best vegan food in Perth

The hummus club offers some of the best vegan food in Perth for my money. Roasted Mushroom Hummus, roasted cauliflower with harissa, Battata potatoes, fallafel and more! Absolutely delicious.

Pros: Delicious food, NIce atmosphere, Not too expensive

Cons: Could always have more vegan options!, Can be cold outside in winter

FALAFEL HEAVEN

Legitimately the BEST Falafel I've ever eaten, outside of Athens. I could eat here every day of the week. The Hummus is rich and silky, and there are so many Vegan options available on the menu you'll be spoilt for choice!!
Try the mushrooms, the batatas, obviously the falafels and the whole roasted cauliflower.....
Plus, there are donuts on the menu that can be made vegan!!
