A bit confusing - Edit
Menu is a bit confusing as it is on the same menu as the other Hummingbird Cafe that serves meat etc a couple of doors away, so wasn't sure if meat was on offer in this restaurant or not. Ordered the Mac n Cheese Bite, it was presented nicely, but inside it was made with penne pasta not macaroni. It was very oily and a bit bland.

Very disappointing. I ordered avocado on toast and I can only assume they ran out of avocado and there was none at the shops. Barely any avo on it and what there was was browning and clearly passed its best. Bf ended up giving me some of his avo to bulk it up. Service was sub-par. Would give 0 stars if possible.

They Added Cruelty to their menu - Edit
In April 2021 this business decided to add Dairy and eggs into their menu. By doing so they have made the choice to support intentional, unnecessary exploitation and killing of animals. 100% unnecessary.

I understand where u are coming from but sadly, there are not enough people (including vegans) that support vegan businesses. The choice is to do what they have done or go out of business completely.

Labeled as passion fruit cookie with raspberry icing. Was yummy but I would have simply called it vanilla. No passion fruit flavour, and icing was just sugary, so no clear raspberry flavour. Staff were pleasant but again average with the flavour.

Wish there was an option for 0/5. What a shameful and embarrassing experience on their behalf. I asked twice on various social platforms when they will remove "plant-based" from their name, as this is harmful for those with allergies and intolerances and is simply not accurate. I was perfectly polite, even praising my last visit there and how it was nice to not double-check ingredients, but each time they blocked me. They have been deleting any and all comments about their sudden addition of cruelty, and blocking many other users. They clearly have no care for their customers, or else there are children running their social media. Never going back again.

Cafe is split in two, the ordinary one and then the plant based and gluten free just two doors down. Staff are lovely and big new menu is brill.

Updated menu, new Chef - Edit
A New Chef, has upgraded the place to well above the average. Excellent taste and serving sizes. The salads and desserts in the display cabinet are magnificent. Have been back many times since upgrade.

I love that we have a place to get good food even whilst vegan and having gluten allergies. The food is super great if it were open for dinner I'd honestly die eating it 😂

Readers don't get me wrong. This is a lovely café. The food is delicious and the setting is pleasant. However, my menu choices (and I blame myself here) could have been chosen more wisely because my Classic Flame Grilled Burger with Potato Rosti could have been taken to another level. It was nothing that I don't make at home. A bit of a kick to the pattie would have gone a long way. The rosti was very oily but at least it was hot. Finally, the chocolate, orange cake was delicious. The cake had an orange sauce in the middle and the orange icing wasn't sickly sweet. Could have had two pieces!

Awesome cafe! - Edit
I've been so excited to try this new restuarant. Its so cosy inside with a wide range of options. Its so affordable compared to other vegan places. I had the thai red curry and my friend had the breakfast wrap. I'll definitely be back to try the other options.

An entirely vegan cafe with lovely service and a nice array of products for the vegan community. 10 out of 10 from me! Their sister cafe (The Hummingbird Cafe) is two doors down and they also provide some vegan options as well.
