Fresh tasty vegan buffet options - Edit
Lots of vegan salads in the buffet (chickpea and black bean included so you won’t be short on protein). Buffet also had vegan fruit cobbler and some vegan hot items as well. Soup, chili, one pasta I believe.

Breakfast unwelcome - Edit
There are slim pickings for vegan food around Tupper Lake. Which is why I was looking forward to getting vegan breakfast with my omni family at the Hub on a Saturday morning. We walked in the door around 9:30 am, and half the facility looked closed with lights off. The staff asked us why we were there. We told them we were looking to get breakfast. They told us they didn’t have any food out yet. They did have a few packaged items that were sitting on a out for grab and go (and their website said they opened at 7 am), but we felt very unwelcome and left without buying anything. Their staff could have responded more helpfully, as they seemed unsure why we were in the store. I think there is a brunch on Sundays, so maybe we just showed up on the wrong day. Other reviewers rave about them, so I would recommend visiting them for anything other than breakfast if it’s a Saturday.

A worthwhile roadside stop! - Edit
As a vegan traveler from Israel, I was quite surprised to discover this gem on my way to the Canadian border. The staff were super friendly, and happily shared the ingredients for each dish at the buffet. There were MANY vegan options, including soups, stews, salads, sides and desserts. I had a hearty chili and a piece of yummy blueberry cake. I was also quite impressed with the grocery section and the farmer's market, but didn't need to shop. I highly recommend The Hub!

Family Style with vegan options! - Edit
This restaurant is a family run farm to table buffet style restaurant. The owner/ hostess guides you through each dish letting you know the ingredients and if they're safe for vegans. We piled our plates high and we're superbly satisfied with the rich flavors and options. We had ginger glazed carrots, steamed broccoli, curry butternut squash soup, chili, beet salad, coleslaw, kale salad, tossed salad, watermelon, basil pesto and homemade bread. Sadly, there were brownies and cobbler that were not vegan on this day but she said they often are. The restaurant itself was spacious and simple and the family operation is Christian based.

Homestyle Goodness - Edit
Buffet style “simple” food made by a family who believes in real food. Besides a few items that contained meat, most items are vegetarian. There are vegan options as well. Everything was delicious. For $15 per person, it was a great bargain. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back.

Not entirely vegan but most items are vegan and labeled. You can ask the owner if you have questions and she was very helpful. Felt very at home and the food was very comforting. Great environment and good options!

mostly local, organic real food! - Edit
A great place for people who want vegan, gluten free, or local real food. The owner can tell you the farm where the food was grown or raised and even the breed of cow the dairy products came from. We visited several times in late June/ early July 2017. We had the buffet several nights and got groceries here including organic packaged foods and fresh produce. The buffet varies depending on what is in season, but always some vegan hot dishes and cold salads, local meat dish, and awesome desserts (some vegan). We will be back next year when we vacation in Tupper Lake again!
