Serves meat, vegan options available. Cafe with veg/vegan choices. Includes a selection of sandwiches, vegan fried breakfast, plant milk for coffee and sometimes vegan cakes. Open Mon-Sat 10:00-16:00.
Closed Sun.
We went here based on reviews we had seen saying it was vegan and dog friendly. The cafe is upstairs, but we were told we had to sit downstairs in a tiny seating section in the bike shop because we had 2 dogs. So we did, and then waited ages for anyone to appear to take our order. Once they finally came we were told they had nothing vegan left so we were very disappointed. We ordered coffees anyway as we couldn’t be bothered to go anywhere else. We then waited ages…at least 20 minutes but no drinks came so we just left.
Delighted to find this cafe, where the veggie breakfast menu was also suitable for vegans (crazy huh?). Soooo many things to chose from, including bacon, black pudding, haggis, hash browns, tattie scones, sausages etc. And toast came with vegan spread. And it was delicious! Staff were informed, and very friendly and welcoming. Main menu had good vegan options too. Also parking available and a lovely spot to quickly walk the dog before heading inside. Highly recommended!!
I love the Hub for its vegan breakfast options and the choices of having a full vegan fry. Staff are always willing to find solutions with dietary requirements and created a lovely vegan sandwich for me when I got there once after serving time with my newborn.
Not many places in the Hebrides serve tasty vegan fried food so I support the Hub whenever I’m in town.
