Good service, fine food

A typical pub with a few vegan options like jacket potato, salad, pasta.

First night in New Quay

Lots of flavours going on in the burgers. Good selection of beers. Good apple pie but they ran out of vegan cream. We have told them how to make vegan cream, so it should be back on the menu.

Ok for a quick stop

A few vegan options which is good. Several options on the kids menu but unfortunately no dessert. Staff were helpful but there were several things not available when we went. Cauliflower starter is lovely. Mushroom pasta is good and burger is ok. Nothing amazing but all nice hearty food

Pros: Several vegan options , Good spot with views of the water, Great cauliflower starter

Cons: Several things not in stock, No kids dessert option

Very handy in a town with few vegan options

À Brains pub that has a vegan starter (crispy cauliflower with vegan mayo), vegan garlic bread, a vegan keema curry (the waiter specifically asked if I wanted it vegan as the popadom it sometimes comes with isn’t), a vegan burger and a vegan creamy mushroom pasta. The apple crumble is also vegan anyway and can be served with plant-based cream. A godsend in a town with so few vegan options.

Pros: A few vegan options , Great location overlooking the bay , Excellent value
