Great vegan burgers. There are a very good amount of options to choose from. I had the one with vegan blue cheese which was really nice. The girl working there was super helpful and very friendly. If you're in the manly area and want a vegan burger this would be a great choice.

All the burgers can be made vegan which is bloody awesome! Only downside does cost extra $2.50 😫. Really enjoyed the chicken burger. Didn’t really enjoy the one with Blue cheese.

I had the Sailboat (Basic Cheese Burger- cheese, mustard,ketchup and onion) but Oh Boy it was so delicious. The burger patty was very well made, it even had that smokey charcoal taste. Most of the burgers on the menu has a plant based version. I will be back to try the other mock meat(chicken schnitzel, southern fried chicken, beef brisket see if they are just as sophisticated as the mock beef patty I had.

Loved the sandwiches! Good popcorn chicken as well, but the burgers definitely have more interesting flavors and textures, especially the Spanish chicken. Fun space, good service.

We stopped here for dinner yesterday and it was pretty nice out, so we sat outside. We ordered with the QR code at the table, the vegan menu was easy to find and everything looked delicious. We got the vegan flagship burger, the vegan nueva Espana (chicken sandwich), and sweet potato fries with some sort of delicious vegan chipotle aioli. The food was so good, and we were in and out of there quick so we could carry on with our day. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area

Very good burger joint in Manly. Great character inside, with considerable effort having gone into its old world nautical/theme. Big bar with a full range of wine, beer and spirits. Some local offerings on the drinks menu, and they do pints and larger.

Dog friendly. We booked a table outside and were able to have our dog with us. Dog water bowls available at the outside tables. This meant we could walk off dinner with the dog.
Found cauliflower popcorn a bit oily, individual pieces were small so lots of surface area.

Burgers and cocktails in a restaurant/bar decorated like you're in the hold of an old timber ship - it just works! Every burger on the menu can be made vegan, down to replacing the beef party, pulled pork, bacon rashers and cheese with vegan tasting and looking equivalents and doing so successfully. Nice staff, too.

Best Vegan Burgers Ever - Edit
Need I say more? They can turn every burger into a vegan option. They cater easily for gluten intolerance too. Try their cauliflower side in stead of fries for a treat. It's a struggle to want to explore other restaurants when I visit Manly as I know I'll never be disappointed with The Hold. 4 star as I cannot put 5 stars unless the company is fully vegan.

Glad we found this on Happy Cow, as there were a ton of options. We went for the Chicken Sandwich (burger) and the mock chicken was dead on. Totally solid. The mac and cheese was decent, it ate more like the boxed kind but when you need mac and cheese, you need mac and cheese. The service was outstanding as well.
