Amazing Find!!!! - Edit

Thank you Happy Cow once againπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š
Love this place and wonderful chef and looks like family. I had the pita falafel stuffed with Vegan deliciousness. I'm in love. I also tried the lemon chickpea soup. To die for. I will so make another special trip from San Diego to visit this gem πŸ’Ž

Pros: amazing food and attitude

Cons: small and parking

Good food - Edit

I had the Falafel Pita. It was ok on its own, but the food shines when you add one of their sauces.

I came around noon on a Friday and had no problems with parking. There should be enough street parking (they do not have their own).

The only thing that really annoyed me was the seating... the tables and chairs are terrible and terribly reflective - the shade barely helps. I had to sit at a weird angle so the sun's reflection on the table wouldn't blind me.

I would highly recommend getting your food to go!

I will definitely return to give them another try.

Pros: Sauces are unique and delicious

Cons: Seating

Cute little whole-in-the-wall - Edit

My first trip here and both of the staff members were exciting to show me their favorite menu items and sauce combinations. Grab a pita and a few falafels and you won't regret it.

The Very Best In The World - Edit

This place has the very best Falafel Pita Sandwich in the world. The pita is home made, the falafels are fresh and green in the middle, the lettuce is fresh, the sauces are great including mango sauce, and the end result is incredible, addicting, fantastic and delicious. When I had lunch there, I shared a table with four Christian Lebanese men and two Saudi Arabian Muslims; I was the only Vegan Buddhists. These people are Falafel experts, having eaten throughout the Middle East, and they said they have never had anything better. I could eat there every day!

Pros: The Pita Falafel Sandwich, Kind hearted owners who work there, Outside cafe lifestyle

Cons: They need a bigger place with food like this, parking works only with a bit of good luck

Yippie for HipPea! - Edit

My daughter and I tried the HipPea last Wednesday. We Had no problem with parking or ordering (wait time). It is pretty small but so cute! The owners/staff were so nice. We ordered the picnic box. The falafel were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The pita bread was amazing. The box came with French fries and salad which were also good (fresh). My favorite sauce was the hot chili sauce! I will be back for more.

Pros: good food, friendly staff

Cons: very limited seating
