Cute Place - Edit

I tried this place after my sister told me about it. They cook the falafels fresh so it was a bit of a wait. Once she had cooked a few, she offered them to me and other customer to munch on while we waited. Unfortunately, I found the falafel to be bland.

The guy at the counter recommended I get the falafel sandwich but I went with the lunch box so I could try more things. It was definitely chickpea overload but I didn't mind. I liked the addition of chickpeas to the hummus and the salad. I tried dipping the falafels in the sauces they recommended - it helped somewhat with the blandness.

I didn't see soup on the menu but two people ordered it while I was waiting so I guess you just have to be in the know.

They didn't have any cookies when I went, so I'll have to go back. I'm willing to give them another try because they are so close to where I live.

Pros: Reasonable prices, Lot of different sauces to try

Cons: Falafel was bland, Parking can be an issue

Latex gloves :( - Edit

I couldn’t even eat here because they use latex gloves when making their food and my family and I are allergic. I was really looking forward to going...poop.

Pros: looks good

Cons: use latex gloves

CoraSunshine 26 Oct 2017 - Just curious if you talked to them about it? They're really cool people, and very accommodating, I know there's a worry about cross-contamination, but maybe if you go when they open one day and it's a fresh batch, they could make you some with clean hands and no gloves? It's really worth it

Falafel to die for! - Edit

As a vegan, I have had my fair share of falafel and I have to say HipPea and team make one of the best falafels I have ever tasted! The service is professional and quick with no loss of quality. They are also very accommodating to gluten free folks like me. They even have chickpea cookies! Whaaat. No indoor seating (tiny place) so prepare to take your falafel home or eat outside.

Pros: Fantastic service, Deliciously fried falafel, Chickpea cookies

Cons: No indoor seating

Good food - Edit

I had the Falafel Pita. It was ok on its own, but the food shines when you add one of their sauces.

I came around noon on a Friday and had no problems with parking. There should be enough street parking (they do not have their own).

The only thing that really annoyed me was the seating... the tables and chairs are terrible and terribly reflective - the shade barely helps. I had to sit at a weird angle so the sun's reflection on the table wouldn't blind me.

I would highly recommend getting your food to go!

I will definitely return to give them another try.

Pros: Sauces are unique and delicious

Cons: Seating

Cute little whole-in-the-wall - Edit

My first trip here and both of the staff members were exciting to show me their favorite menu items and sauce combinations. Grab a pita and a few falafels and you won't regret it.

The Very Best In The World - Edit

This place has the very best Falafel Pita Sandwich in the world. The pita is home made, the falafels are fresh and green in the middle, the lettuce is fresh, the sauces are great including mango sauce, and the end result is incredible, addicting, fantastic and delicious. When I had lunch there, I shared a table with four Christian Lebanese men and two Saudi Arabian Muslims; I was the only Vegan Buddhists. These people are Falafel experts, having eaten throughout the Middle East, and they said they have never had anything better. I could eat there every day!

Pros: The Pita Falafel Sandwich, Kind hearted owners who work there, Outside cafe lifestyle

Cons: They need a bigger place with food like this, parking works only with a bit of good luck

Yippie for HipPea! - Edit

My daughter and I tried the HipPea last Wednesday. We Had no problem with parking or ordering (wait time). It is pretty small but so cute! The owners/staff were so nice. We ordered the picnic box. The falafel were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The pita bread was amazing. The box came with French fries and salad which were also good (fresh). My favorite sauce was the hot chili sauce! I will be back for more.

Pros: good food, friendly staff

Cons: very limited seating
