Cashier didn’t understand vegan - Edit
I started out stating I was vegan. I then tried to order something they couldn’t make vegan. So I asked what they suggested. She recommended something and I went with it. There was other discussion about the cheese and sour cream. I reiterated that I was vegan.
Read moreThen before the food came out, the server came to the table to clarify. I again said so no cheese.
However the kitchen had already made the item. And because they didn’t want to waste food, they insisted that I pay for another meal.
The server was completely unwilling to remake the dish. She insisted that I had said no sour cream but had approved the cheese.
The meal showed up with sour cream and cheese. The server was still unwilling to fix it. We had to talk with the owner who reluctantly agreed to remake the dish because it had the sour cream.
Sadly, I have had many positive experiences here in the past and am left shocked by this experience.

They have several options for vegan tacos. The rice and pinto beans are fresh and not cooked in animal fat. Best Mexican food I’ve had in years.

Wanderer torta is where it's at - Edit
I had the wanderer torta with soy asada, no cheese no mayo add avocado. It was so delicious, the bread is soft and flavorful, the soy curls are seasoned well, and the green salsa is exactly what I wanted to douse my torta. Definitely recommend trying this spot out!

Can’t give 5 stars b/c not fully veg - but it’s awesome - Edit
We stumbled on this awesome taqueria while out for a walk - although I’d previously seen it listed on happy cow. What a lucky find - there were a bunch of taco and burrito options with several different unique and creative veggie fillings - mushroom and onions, squash and onions and spicy peppers(Rajas). I had a bowl and really enjoyed the fillings as well as a side of beans.

Excellent Veg Options - Edit
This place is great! We're happy we discovered it through Happy Cow. They were super friendly and totally willing to take about ingredients and ordering vegan was easy. Their menu made veg options clear and ordering vegan made easy enough by asking and leaving off the queso and crema. This is NOT a dedicated vegan restaurant, if that's your preference, so be aware. However, the food was amazing and super filling. The vegan meat filling was amazing and there were plenty of veg/vegan choices. We'll definitely be back to this place when we're back in town.

Amazing vegan meat! - Edit
What a find! They have amazing street style tacos, burritos, and tortas. Homemade tortillas and they even make their own vegan chorizo and carne asada! I was blown away by how tasty both of these options were! Simple to make vegan, you just choose one of the many vegetarian choices and have them leave off the crema, mayo, or what have you. And the best horchata I’ve ever tasted too (they put strawberries in it).

Friendly helpful staff and delicious tacos. I ordered three tacos - mushroom, soyrizo with potatoes, and soy asada tacos- and requested them to be vegan. So good! If in Walla Walla again, I will definitely return.
