Cool canal-side vibe - now reopen after refurb - Edit

Canal-side artisan bakery with an open-plan cafe serving brunch, sweet and savoury pastries and cakes. Vegan brunch options include homemade beans on toast and mushrooms on toast, both delicious. Their vegan chocolate cake is very good. The house coffee is the local and very good quality Dark Wood. Great selection of breads, cakes and pastries on sale, either to take away or eat in the cafe. Cool vibe with simple Scandi-style plain light wood furnishings, now with long communal tables. It also has a small outdoor seating area next to its canalside veg garden.

Revisited today for first time in two years or so. Still a great cafe, with the same menu options of old. Refurb is nice. Prices still good - £7 for delicious creamy mushrooms on toast and £6 for homemade beans on toast. Only had a vegan cookie today, sadly, on the cake front!
