Great roast - Edit
Visited back in December 21 and completely forgot to write my review. Had the lamb roast and it was great. Didn't know what to expect has haven't tried vegan version of lamb before the texture was good and the mint sauce lovely. Staff were super friendly and really helpful as we had a nut allergy in the group. Also dog friendly which was great. 100% will return once back in southend.

Great for an all-day breakfast - Edit
We had a brilliant, very late breakfast here. Staff really friendly. The food was delicious and the drinks (hot chocolate and Oreo milkshake) were really indulgent. But what amazed us most was how reasonably priced things are. Our food was brought out to us in about 10 minutes of ordering, amazing chefs!

Great Food - Edit
I went into the Grizzly Vegan before lockdown for a spot of lunch. The food was excellent and the service was very good. My only gripe was the opening times as 10am is a bit late for breakfast and the closing times 3pm in the week and 4pm on a Saturday mean I cannot go after work for a bit of dinner. Apart from that it is great.

Fantastic brunch! - Edit
Fully vegan restaurant with a great brunch menu! I had a Grizzly breakfast which filled me up nicely! My daughter absolutely loved the pancakes with Biscoff and caramelised bananas (photo doesn’t do them justice; sorry!)

A place for a proper filling brunch - Edit
Had a really filling brunch here of a big vegan breakfast - delicious! It was nicely presented with a good mixture of items. It was great for a weekend treat as there was more fried food that I'd usually eat.
Read moreAlso tried some of the cakes, and they were really tasty too. They were perfect as an afternoon treat to eat on the beach.

100% vegan cafe with a wide selection of sweet and savoury brunch options, smoothies, milkshakes and coffees. I had the Hash Brown Waffle which was delicious. Service was slow but very friendly and welcoming - would definitely return.

The Grizzly Vegan is extraordinary, welcoming and as a visitor from London the best vegan eatery in Southend-on-Sea and surrounding areas.

A poor example of vegan food - Edit
I tried their Fish and Chips night and was incredibly disappointed. The battered fish had absolutely no flavour whatsoever and was like eating pure batter. Even the chips and curry sauce, something you would imagine nobody could get wrong, were poor. Just a big plate of oven chips. The service and atmosphere was awful and it was like being in a builder's cafe. There is plenty of good vegan food around but this is not it. Giving one star for the sausage. I desperately hope they put some time and effort into making this place better.

Really great Sunday brunch - huge menu, lovely surroundings and a warm welcome - Edit
Happy Cow guided to a great eatery once again. I was a very happy big kid - the battered home made “sausages” will remain memorable. Very flexible and huge portions. Lovely place to visit and can’t commend enough. On street parking and a free car park on a Sunday across the road.

Brunch menu - Edit
Had a lovely breakfast of fancy mushrooms on sourdough toast and cakes to takeaway for afternoon tea. No complaints at all. Will be back to try the rest of the menu. A nice find in Southend.

Me and boyfriend went here for brunch. We had tofu florentine, sweet potato hash, sausage bagel and a latte and grizzly vegan shake.

The food was tasty and not over priced. I really enjoyed the sweet potato and my boyfriend loved his bagel.
Have been recommended to go back and try the loaded fries and sweet potato waffle by a friend who goes there a lot.
Lovely garden out the back which will be nice in the summer.
All in all great place and will head back soon - we want to try the burgers now!!
They have Instagram and Facebook.
Mixed crowd with families, couples and friends in there when we went. All ages.
