Wonderful Surprise - Edit

Found this gem by searching the HC app while traveling. Fully vegan menu! Creative cuisine. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. One throwback element: calling items by meat names (chicken, beef, etc) rather than by actual ingredient names (sietan, tofu, tempeh, etc); however, staff were able to tell us what ingredients are actually used in the dishes. We had pizzas (one gluten free, one regular) and both were very, very good. Desserts were decadent, but not to the point of unhealthfulness. I have already recommended this to vegan family members in the area. Definately will be returning.

Pros: 100% vegan, Fresh and creative cooking, Knowledgeable staff

Cons: Meat names for plant-based foods

Awesome food with generous portions - Edit

I love this place! Joseph, the owner, is very friendly and comes around and talks to all of the diners. He has developed a really nice menu of foods that I haven’t been able to eat in decades! I love the cheesesteak, nachos, and the new chocolate cake that we just had last night! Thx again for a great meal!

Pros: Menu selections , Portions, Tastiness

One of the best in the business - Edit

This place has changed the game. Been here numerous times, haven’t been let down yet. The owner is a mastermind and a super friendly, personable guy. Tons of salads, bowls, and pizzas that can all be made GF. A lot of mock meats that aren’t GF, which are not my thing, but the seitan wings seem to be a staple here. Have brought more non-vegans than vegans here, and everyone loves it.

Pros: Amazing food, Tons of GF options, Super friendly staff

Cons: On the pricier side

Great for non vegans and transitioning - Edit

Wings were amazing. However almost everything on the menu is a meat substitute. Tasty, but not good for you. Definitely a pig out kind of vegan spot. Don’t come here with your raw, soy or gluten free friends! They have gf options for a $3 upcharge but it heavily limits the menu.

Pros: Vegan , Food tastes great

Cons: Not the healthiest

AMAZING! - Edit

I made a trip here with my family for my bday. They are meat eaters but were open to trying something new. Everything was amazing. We had the nachos and wings. I had the rigatoni and meatballs. The sauce was great. Literally everything was so good!

Pros: so many options, wonderful owner, great/fast service

Yum! - Edit

I went to the Greyhound cafe with my parents for dinner the other night and it was worth a trip. My mom won the night by getting the fish tacos (she’s an omnivore and she said they were better than any fish tacos she’s ever had!). My dad and I got the pesto chicken pizza and the cheesesteak pizza and they were also quite good. We both wished they had red sauce on them but that was an easy fix.

The owner is very nice and ran a bunch of menu ideas by us and it seems like he is very creative and dedicated to making a diverse and delicious menu.

The buffalo wing appetizer was also totally delicious. Check this place out!

Awesome! - Edit

The food was great vegan comfort food. I had my nonvegan mother in law with me who had never been to a vegan restaraunt. She loved it! The owner was very friendly too. I would highly recommend this cafe.

I would not recommend - Edit

The flavor was pretty bland. I've had better seasoned scrambled tofu, and better vegan sausage. It all lacked the proper seasoning. It was NOT bad, but for the price, I expected much more.

Pros: Everything is VEGAN 😋, Cozy little spot, Very nice staff

Cons: Expensive, Food lacked flavor

Could make a carnivore a believer! - Edit

Found this place on the Happy Cow, my go to app while traveling. Perfect example of don't judge a book by its cover. This is in a strip mall and from the outside it doesn't look like much. Once inside my hubby and young son were promptly greeted by the owner warmly. His story of how he created the restaurant to how they came up with the name is as good as their food creations. I won't ruin the story, you can ask them yourself, but I will tell you about the food. I am a vegan, my husband and son are not. We wound up eating there two days in a row. This food is made for carnivores not vegans. It can change your perception on plant based foods. My son ate the hot dog and chicken fingers and not once did he flinch thinking it was different. The texture varies from real meat products but the flavors made the difference. My husband came home a changed man, thanks to Joe, and decided to give plant based eating a try. Everything we had was made with heart and passion. Definitely worth a visit.

Pros: Excellent food, Great portion soze, Amazing owner and staff

nothing but good things to say! - Edit

Tried this place after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed! Super cute BYOB that will impress vegans and non-vegans alike. I have been vegan for about 6 months and my boyfriend is not. We both enjoyed our meals. We had nachos, wings, mac and cheese and a Caesar salad but we wanted to try everything. The owner was wonderful and willing to modify dishes to accommodate my gluten allergy. We will be back very soon!

Love this place! - Edit

I'm so glad Greyhound Cafe opened! It's a lovely place for vegans and omnivores alike. This place has become a staple for me and is our go to spot for dinner. They also have an excellent lunch and brunch menu. I'd recommend the wings, any of the pizzas, the penne vodka is wonderful and I love the fish tacos. The waitstaff is great and Joseph, the owner is one of the kindest, most-welcoming, people you'll ever meet. It's BYOB so bring a bottle and a few of your friends for a great night out.

Pros: lots of options on the menu, nice atmosphere , delicious desserts

A great discovery! - Edit

We would have probably never gone hear if it wasn’t for the Happy Cow app as the restaurant doesn’t have much in the way of curb appeal. Inside however it has a nice ambiance and a nice selection of vegan options. The chef and owner Joseph is very engaging and is dedicated to bringing healthy food to people. This restaurant won the “Best of Mainline” award for plant based restaurants. That is quite a prestigious award which their menu well deserves.

Pros: great selection

Amazing food for both Carnivores and Vegans! - Edit

From the outside I thought it was closed! But realized the sign said open. Since It was my first time at this Cafe I was questioning my decision to eat here! But I am so very happy I did! Amazing food, lovely tables and warm inviting owner/host! His staff delightful and great service! Dining with 2 vegans and 1 carnivore we all were impressed with the quality and care that went into each dish! I highly recommend this to ANYONE...you will not be disappointed! This is my new favorite dining spot!

Best Vegan So Far! - Edit

This is the Best Place I've eaten Vegan so far!
If you are a no-oil vegan or require special diet, call ahead, Chef is happy to oblige. The Chef makes his unique brand of Texican that must not be missed. Mmmm, the yummy seitan chicken barbecue was scrumptious.
I don't want my vegan food to taste like meat.
And I want it to be substantial without being too filling.
Too many vegan restaurants lay on the fat and complicated tastes - yuck!
This one gets it right.
Try their epic nachos or their chicken enchiladas.
I'm going back for more!
The decor makes a great ambience.
Chef was very friendly. Told us an Art Gallery Exhibition is coming onto the bare walls this month.
It's gorgeous the way he's decorated it
Felt so calming and kinda nurturing
Reminded me of the southwest too.

Pros: great food, unassuming place, affordable food

Cons: don't get lost!

great food - Edit

I'm so happy that this place opened so close to me! Everything I've tried here so far has been amazing. The carob chimichanga dessert is the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. No joke. The Greyhound salad is a delightful vegan twist on the classic Caesar salad. Their homemade cashew cheese that's in many of their dishes is better than most of the plant-based cheeses I've found in stores. The pizzas are absolutely amazing as well. Then there's the brunch menu... Yum! Oh, I could go on and on. I guess the point of my rambling is this: Go to The Greyhound Cafe now. Your belly will be happy.

Pros: vegan, delicious, byob

Cons: not open 24/7 🤣

Yummy vegan restaurant - Edit

Had lunch at the Greyhound Cafe in Malvern today and it was AMAZING! Best vegan food by far. The owner greeted us personally and we could tell he has a true passion for the vegan diet and making it tasty for even the most die-hard carnivore. Portions were large and delicious! Check it out!

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly owner, Great value

Cons: Tucked away in a shopping center, worth finding!

I came to the restaurant based on the great reviews, not knowing it had an entirely vegan menu and ended up loving it! The food is amazing, my family and I got the nachos (which were delicious) and I ordered the fish tacos which I'd recommend. The service was great and so was the food, I'll be visiting again soon!

Mother's Day Brunch/Lunch for 8 - Edit

We had a great experience on Sunday with a noon reservation. We shared 4 appetizers "for the table", with unanimous opinion that the "wings" were great, and the vote split about equally between BBQ and Buffalo choices as the favorite . The Nacho platter was also excellent and very substantial. There was also complementary hummus and chips served for the table, and a small complementary chocolate treat at the end of the meal.

The staff was very helpful and attentive, as was the owner, Joseph, who took some much appreciated time to share his VEGAN perspectives on good Vegan restaurant food. He also shared a compelling personal story about why he had to open his own place and stop serving "meat".
The menu is very informative (although I still wince a little at seeing the use of words like "chicken", "beef" and "mozzarella"). It is definitely 100% plant based.
My Son-in-Law ordered what I think was called a chili stuffed baked potatoe which was definitely a full meal, not just a "side".
We live in southern NJ, Where there is only one 100% Vegan restaurant in a three county area (Wildflower Café-Millville) so we are prepared to travel for good Vegan food and The Greyhound Café in Malvern was well worth our trip and we look forward to visiting again.

Pros: Varied menu choices, helpful and attentive staff and owner, Moderate prices and good portions

Great food and service! - Edit

I'm very excited there is a vegan place with great options closer to home, instead of having to go to the city for good food options. The owner, Joe, is very nice and helpful. We had the wings, nachos, and burger. All were great and we will be back soon to try the other menu items!
