Fabulous - Edit
The Green Spot is one of the best vegetarian restaurants that we went to in Barcelona. It has a modern decor and a gentrified atmosphere. The food was great. We had a rice paper roll and salad as appetizers, both great. Our entrees were a sweet potato tagliatelle and a burger, again very good. Dessert was an unusual and delicious lemon and celery sherbert. The baked kaki (persimmon) and pear was less successful and less tasty. Overall, a fabulous dining experience.

Sweet Dreams are made of these - Edit
Who am I to disagree? I've travelled the world and seven seas, everybody is looking for something......and this something is The Green Spot. If I could sneak in the word showaddywaddy I would but it's just not appropriate. After a quick margarita and maybe a mojito at Rosa Negro we continued to the end of Via Laietana and crossed the road to the amazing Green Spot. Once again, we have an immediate 5 happy cow impact listing in Barcelona. Barcelona always delivers the best. As soon as you walk in its obvious a lot of money has been spent on the fittings. This is a sophisticated but non pretentious dining venue. I love the spot lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. There is both table and armchair dining. I love the decor, the furniture and I love the relaxed atmosphere. Oh yes, I also love the food. We started with a curried red pepper dip served with pitta breads, carrot and celery sticks. Delicious. For main courses you are looking at a phenomenal Asian style tempeh and noodle wok stir fry and an outlandish yellow Thai style curry served with black rice. These were both quite a sensation. A bottle of rosé wine at a fruity €14 made this a most enjoyable experience. There were a lot of items on the menu that I craved to be vegan but weren't. Hey ho. A great time was still had by all

The Future is Green - Edit
WOW!!!!
I have dreamed about modern stylish 'futuristic' restaurants that happen to be vegetarian as opposed to checking out cool eateries where the diners gorge on the dead. If we hadn't purposely visited the Green Spot as a result of discovering it on happycow I would have probably walked past thinking it would be too expensive. This place is amazing. It is uber cool, you could chill out/ lounge here for hours in their comfy seats. The food is very special, the tempeh we tasted was the best we've ever had, it was sensational and I'm usually not smitten over tempeh. The staff were really helpful and friendly and you can't fail to feel relaxed and welcome. My only criticism is that although there are a good array of vegan meals to choose from, non vegan meals do seem to dominate the menu and many of these could be easily transformed to vegan delights.
To conclude, The Green Spot is a truly Great Spot for veggies, vegans and to transform the narrow minded views of those veggie sceptics. It's an uplifting and satisfying experience and one that should not be missed.
Pros: special restaurant and ambiance. , great food. , good value, the food is not as expensive as it loo

Perfection - Edit
Walking into The Green Spot is an experience all on its own, one that prefaces the over all purpose of coming here, the food.
The automatic sliding glass door, the wooden hallway with minimalist decor that hides nothing, letting you know its integrity, its honesty, it needs to hide nothing. The hallway leads you into the heart of the restaurant, which is warm and welcoming.
The Staff attentive and knowledgeable, make you feel like you're having dinner with old friends, and the kitchen open and visible, lets you see the mechanics of what goes into the food.
THE FOOD, packs a flavor punch with every bite that only great produce can deliver, a taste that exposes the most delicious qualities of every ingredient. It reminded me of every beautiful corner in Barcelona, and in my opinion, Barcelona's focus on artistry, and localism, a city from another time, living in the present. The portions are perfect, and the drinks are crafted like a work of art, beautiful, refreshing, and each sip touches all the senses, I highly recommend everyone to order a drink.
The Green Spot isn't just a place where you'll grab a bite, even if thats the only reason you plan on going there, because once you cross that glass door you're in for a Catalonian vegetarian ride, of taste, smell and feel.
I hope I can be back here again for a new journey.
So, if you're coming here tonight, you made the right choice.
Pros: delicious food, tasty drinks, welcoming and attentive enviroment
Cons: NO CONS
