Pleasantly surprised - Edit
Had vegan pancakes with banana, papaya, vegan icecream & yoghurt & maple syrup. Aswell as big cooked breakfast and beetroot juices. Delicious food and drinks. Friendly staff and nice to be welcoming to childrenwith some books and toys. No separate vegan menu though just says VOA etc so had to ask what the non vegan items were replaced with but they automatically happy replacing with hash brown/avocado instead of vegetarian options aswell as having dairyfree icecream but wouldve been better if this was mentioned on menu rather than having to ask. Considering no vegan menu we were pleasantly surprised with vegan options and staff and food was delicious.
Read moreThey also had freshly baked breads and some premade treats in cabinet that were labelled vegan sucg as raw cho balls qnd lime slice aswell as a curry which sounded nice.
Pros: Vegan options, Kids corner toy n books, Organic
Cons: serves eggs and dairy, no separate vegan menu , Had to ask what vegan substitutes were

Six stars! - Edit
Lovely place, quiet vibe, healthy and tasty, plenty of vegan options. I had a salad bowl with hummus, quinoa, avo, lentil patty, beetroot, etc, added on home-made hash brown; also mushroom and lentil pie with relish, slice of lime pie and pot of brekkie tea with soy. Clearly made with love. 💚🌱

Excellent vegan options, nice atmosphere - Edit
Willunga is a hippie hot spot and the green room a reflection of this. Great vegan options available, including mushroom and lentil pie, raw deserts, soups and specials. They also do great freshly pressed juices and coffee.

Fresh in the Country - Edit
The Green Room is easy to find being near the main intersection within small town Willunga on High St. A spacious and clean presentation, if a bit aging. Plenty of seating indoors and out though it may get large numbers of guests from Saturday's nearby market.
Read moreGood presentation of the food. Enjoyable tastes, colours and textures and portion size is about right. The best draw of the food is the excellent freshness of every ingredient. No wilting, sad, staleness here.
Most of the menu is vegetarian with vegan options, a few vegan only dishes. They prefer organic and fresh ingredients. There's a selection of sweet pies/cakes as well.
Service was attentive without being overbearing. The style here is cafe/Al Fresco with a touch of country bakery.
This review covers one visit only.
Pros: Plenty of Seating, Indoors and Out, Very fresh food, Attentive service
Cons: Fix your hanging sign lettering

Great food, great atmosphere, great time! - Edit
After cycling the very scenic Sea to Vines trail from Seaford train station to Willunga we settled in to the Green Room and enjoed a delicious, healthy meal. There were 6 of us so we were able to try most of the menu. The lentil pie was amazing and the open burger nearly as good! Lots of vegan options/versions on offer and caters for food intolerances. One tip though, save room for desert! I'll be back!!

Food that makes me happy - Edit
An absolute highlight of my week is a vege-burger from The Green Room at Willunga. Lots of other wonderful food as well, everything house-made with a great atmosphere. Busy on a Saturday morning with the crowd spilling over from the farmers market across the road. If you are into great organic, vegetarian fresh food and a wonderful food experience then this is a winning combination. The space is great as well, with an airy, light, retro feel and indoor and outdoor seating choices. And to top it off it's in a beautiful little historic town.

The Green Room, great food! - Edit
We recently had brekkie here for the first time, previously only having had coffees.
Read moreIt was really good, and no bacon in sight YAY!
The hash browns were home made, as were the beaked beans and the locally made fennel seed bread is to die for.
The chai latte I had was so nice I had to ask what it was. Also sold locally, from the same place as the bread. (Beach Organics)
A really great meal, and resonably priced too.
Give it a go!

I've been to this cafe 4 or 5 times now and I've yet to have a bad meal there! I can highly recommend the quiche and lentil patties and their in house relish is beautiful! I wish they'd bottle it!
Read moreIt's so nice to find a place where I can eat almost everything on the menu and there are stacks of gluten free options, so it's a great place to take my gluten intolerant mother!
