Excellent vegan food - Edit
I was surprised how difficult it was to find decent freshly made vegan food in Bath. That is until I stumbled upon Green Rocket. Excellent quality and delicious food. Menu offers variety of dishes for all tastes. Service was excellent. So glad I found this little gem, shame that there aren't other lunch places in Bath of the same caliber serving a plant based menu.

Totally Amazing - Edit
The service at The Green Rocket was exceptional. Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We had the brunch...best tofu scramble to date...which was reasonably priced and delicious. We then booked for an evening meal and also had a decent bottle of Malbec too. Such a lovely place. Well done guys x

Get there early - Edit
Arrived at 12:15, no problem finding two seats but 15 minutes later the place was full. Lovely meal, quick service.
Read moreUpdate after visiting on 7th June 2021. Not been for a while but we always call in when passing through Bath. Looks like the place has had a makeover; lick of paint, new crockery, interesting menu. Usual quick service. Excellent food presentation. All very tasty. We had Caponata and Katsu Curry as mains with a Pakoras starter to share.

Menu needs updating - Edit
We got lunch there and were disappointed that the menu was different from the one on the website, so we had to pick something other than what we had been excited for. That said, I got the katsu curry which was very good, and the service was quick and courteous. Great to sit outside on a sunny day as well.

Would be a 1 star if the app let me - Edit
Chaotic and disorganised. We had to ask for a menu, then our drinks and we waited 45 minutes for our mains, which weren't worth the price.
Read moreWhen we went to pay, the lady asked us to wait at our tables but we said we'd already been waiting and that the service was slow. She came back with 'Well, we are busy you know!' Most tables were empty the whole time we were there and her aggression towards us was outrageous.
Avoid!
Plenty of other places to eat with unpretentious vegan option.
Pros: None
Cons: The service, price, attitude of owner.

Delicious, Would Visit Again! - Edit
My partner and I ordered a couple of starters which included the Bang Bang Cauliflower and the Tempeh Caesar Salad. Both were extremely tasty to the point where were practically licking the plates off!
Read moreNot even kidding.
Impressive since sometimes vegan cafes and restaurants can skimp on flavour a bit.
Also, the service was very friendly. It was a truly great experience overall.

Great place for lunch - Edit
Really good food and lovely service, definitely a great place to stop off for lunch! The menu was small but still had a wide range of dishes and I definitely recommend a visit.

So much care to provide a diverse, satisfying and tasty vegan menu. Maybe the first time I've ever been glad to sit outdoors in the looming rain to enjoy a meal.

Disappointed - Edit
We was very excited to come here! When we arrived we was told that the menu had changed, (old menu still up on there website) this meant after the excitement of choosing what we was going to have a week in advance had gone. We shared two main courses, the arrabiata gnocchi was ok nothing to scream about, the other was smoked pumpkin risotto: this was awful... there was so much smoky favour that it was inedible and it even made us feel sick for a few ours after the meal. This also gave us an upset stomach. After the experience we had we choose to go else where for breakfast.

I've visited the green rocket many times, it's a beautiful little restaurant in the centre of bath!! I normally visit for breakfast as I love the selection (and the edible flowers!!), the granola is my favourite.
Read moreI've also had the gnocchi, korma, burger and polenta caponata of the lunch/dinner menu - everything tastes super fresh and it's refreshing to visit a vegan restaurant thats not exclusively salads or vegan junk food😄
if you visit leave room for dessert and get the sticky toffee pudding - you won't regret it ☺️☺️☺️
Pros: fresh tasty food , super affordable , cakes!!

Disappointing - Edit
We drove down in October from Stroud, very excited to have a vegan breakfast. Attracted by the excellent reviews.
Read moreWe ordered two full breakfasts.
Super bland, bread was like a supermarket loaf, sausages were like Linda McCartney, Mushrooms were boiled, wet and tasteless. The spinach had no seasoning.
Edible, but tasteless and poor texture. Sort of food you may get in carny restaurant, when they have to make vegan food.
Did we go to the wrong cafe?
So disappointing. Not sure I can trust reviews. Was it a very very bad day or fake reviews?
Pros: Vegan, Coffee was OK
Cons: Tasteless, awful

Great breakfast - Edit
Absolutely delicious fully vegan breakfast and such a generous plate too- good value for money. Also had oat milk flat whites which were good. Loved how the place was fully vegan and appeared to not even have cows milk on site! Would highly recommend.

The highlights were the polenta chips, mushroom burger, Caesar salad starter, padrón peppers or was it the vegan wines and beers on offer or the extensive dessert menu???
All Brilliant, thank you so much 😊

Location, food, ambience all top notch - Edit
On a recent stop off to visit relatives we popped to Bath just to eat out here. Great location with views of the river and Abbey, The Green Rocket is a collection of rooms and an outside eating area. The staff were perfectly attentive and very aware of the situation regarding Covid-19. The temperature was hovering around the mid 30s and as such the Gazpacho had sold out, but the alternatives of King Oyster Mushroom Scallops and Bang Bang Cauliflower were superb. The mains of the Korma and the burger were very tasty. Be warned the chips come out superheated so give them a few minutes to chill. Lovely Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert and a variety of wines and soft drinks available, With the Eat out to Help out scheme running it was also extremely reasonably priced.
