Vegan pub opened 2016 serving pub grub like pizza, burger, hotdog, fries. Beverages are all-vegan as of 2017. Large upstairs space accessed by stairs from Red Lion pub downstairs. Outside balcony space with some scattered sofa seating amongst the tables and chairs. Reported closed June 2020.

Delicious - pick up and delivery available (pub closed) - Edit
As at June 2020, the great team at Green Lion have suspended their pub operations and moved to providing prepared meals for pick up and delivery. Check out their Facebook page and website! Same amazing food, incredible variety and delicious treats all round! Rumour is they will be back to a pub bistro or their own restaurant soon - keep posted and fingers crossed!

Had my first Vegan pub grub. Was lovely had an eggplant parmagianna, egg plant was battered and fried served on a bed of chips topped with vegan 'bacon', tomato concasse on top and vegan cheese.$19.95. For dessert had a slice of cheese cake topped with passionfruit, scoop of caramel icecream and strawberry coulis and a fresh strawberry.$14 delicious.

Revisited last night we shared a cheesey pizza. Pic enclosed. Was ok, could have done with a few more minutes in the oven was a bit under cooked (the crust). $21. Has a great selection of boutique beers the organic ale and 4Pines were nice.

I’m a new vegan (4 months) and I still love the taste of meat but have stopped eating due to ethical reasons. This place means I don’t have to give up the taste! The dishes are so close to what I remember in a pub atmosphere, it just makes me feel at home. Love it!

Great ambiance and nice staff. I did not personally like most of the menu because of all the fried food, but that is what pub food is. The mean green burger was great, my husband got it and I was jealous. I ordered the mushroom burger and did not like it due to the frying. Also true about the appetizer mac and cheese balls.

I had high expectations based on the other reviews here, however unfortunately my overall experience fell short.
Read moreThe venue is lovely, with a warm and eclectic interior and balcony dining areas. The menu has a wide range of pub favourites at not unreasonable prices, including an assortment of mock seafood I haven't encountered before.
There does seem some service/staffing problems. My meal order was taken wrong, and while the food arrived quickly it was lukewarm at best. My dessert order was forgotten completely, although it was prepared quickly upon querying. Unfortunately there was temperature issues here again too, something that clearly should have been refrigerated was room temperature. Also, they kept running out of cutlery.
Apart from the temperature issues, the 'seafood' basket, lasagne, milkshake, and cheesecake were all delicious.
I would come back here again to give them another try, hopefully they were just having a bad night.

Vegan Pub in the suburbs of Sydney serving all the usual pub favorites but in vegan form! Burgers, Parmigiana, chips, potato scallops etc plus some great desserts such as pavlova, cheesecake etc. If you tend to eat healthily most of the time, the salt and oil can give you the food sweats, but as an occasional meal it is great to have these options

What a great place. The menu is filled with classic pub food options, yet all vegan. I tried the crumbed portobello mushroom burger and was happy with my choice. I shared a variety of appetizers that all made me happy, but not as much as the delicious dessert. Yum!

So pleased with the food here! Really nice atmosphere and people. Ordered a gluten free pizza w pumpkin, pesto, veg cheese some other toppings and it was so good... I don’t know how I haven’t found this place sooner! I will definitely be back!

I absolutely love the Green Lion and often drive the 2hrs just to eat here. The menu is so hard to choose from - everything is delicious! My meat eater family also love their meals here.
