Not worthy of the hype - Edit
As a previous review mentioned they have a odd belief that lunch doesn't start until 1 pm, so we got stuck with the breakfast menu as we arrived shortly after 12. I had the full breakfast, the home made sausage was almost inedible. It was completely bland, mushy with a vague taste of garlic. Everything else was unseasoned and not worthy of the price. What also annoyed me is the oat milk curdled in my tea, every vegan cafe uses barista milk nowadays.

Pros: Vegan
Cons: Expensive, Poor quality food, Noisy blenders near customers

Lunch not served until 1pm. Bit of a boring menu - Edit
Didnt end up eating here. Got there at 12.45 and was told and shown that it was still the breakfast menu, as they were running slow that morning . Lunch didnt start until 1pm!?. Never heard of breakfast or even brunch going until 1 and not having any lunch choices after 12. Didnt want anything off the breakfast menu and so we left, as didnt have time to wait around until lunch started either. Also in a pretty random location.

Great food and vibes 💚 - Edit
The Green Heart Cafe is dog friendly 🐶 and has a lovely chilled and relaxed atmosphere. We ate here on several occasions for breakfast, Sunday lunch and for just tea and cake. All were amazing and couldn’t fault any of the food. Highly recommended all of it but especially the bakewell slice and biscoff brownie 😋.

Lovely lunch away from the crowds - Edit
Stumbled across this place by accident leaving the car park opposite. I wouldn’t have been able to tell it was a cafe from the outside but for a chalk board on the street but it’s lovely inside and the food was amazing. I had a lovely Buddha Bowl. Small menu choice but more choice than most vegans are used to having when eating out so actually was spoilt for choice and it was done really well. Definitely worth a visit and away from the High Street madness.

Lovely place - Edit
Visited Newquay and thought I’d check if there were any vegan places I hadn’t seen before - my previous experiences in Newquay haven’t been very vegan friendly. Saw this place and thought we’d give it a try. Really nice place, very calm and peaceful and the food was brill. We both had specials, I had the mac and cheese and my partner had the rarebit. They were both fantastic and we had some nice cakes afterwards.

Favourite place in Newquay! - Edit
It’s got such a nice vibe, I could spend hours in there. And the food is amazing! All fresh and homemade 👌🏼 my favs from this visit was the wild garlic soup, lasagna and the number one was the cauliflower tagine! 🤤 the hot chocolate and the homemade cakes are so good too 🥰

Lovely cafe with “proper food” and not just dull cafe food. Waitress was lovely, vegan cheese was available, and the brownie milkshake was amazing!

So good we came two days in a row. - Edit
Came here two days in a row. Food eaten included their version of the Buddha Bowl which had some many elements it took me several minutes of staring to identify everything. The breakfast was equally excellent and cakes, in particular, the Brownie were fantastic. Plenty of local artwork on display and as a surfer I fully appreciated a bit of Jack Johnson that came over the sound system. Lady who owned it was very pleasant to chat to and had an entertaining dog that was very friendly. Great place to visit.

Had a delicious Buddha bowl made of a tasty mix of all-vegan ingredients, as well as a gorgeous piece of cake at the end which also happened to be gluten-free. A really enjoyable meal and decently priced too, with friendly staff and a cosy and nicely decorated setting.

Beautiful cafe in Newquay - Edit
Delicious coffee, extremely tasty food, and friendly staff. There's a lovely feel to the place. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Easily as good as our favourite vegetarian/vegan places at home, and more affordable. We'll definitely return.
