One stop shop for everything vegan - Edit
The completely vegan menu is amazingly extensive, and they have some gluten free options too! I've eaten here more times than I can count, but THE stand out menu item is 100% the vegan chicken and waffles. So awesome. The vegan mcmuffin is also worthy of a mention. The cafe is also attached to a small vegan supermarket with all your vegan needs, and it also has a little baked goods section with things like fresh lamingtons and pies etc.

The one stop shop for vegans - Edit

Read moreThe Green Edge is a must visit for vegans. Both the cafe and the shop section are all vegan. It’s walking distance from Windsor Station which is only a few stops from the city.
Boasting a big menu of vegan comfort food, from huge epic burgers to fluffy pancakes with ice cream, you may have a hard time choosing just one dish. Be sure to get one of their milkshakes or frappe to go with the meal. Their fridge next to the cafe also has a wide range of cakes and sweets.
Stop by their shop section to stock up on vegan goodies. Other than groceries, they also carry makeup, house supplies, and even shoes, recipe books and more.
Pros: All vegan, both shop and restaurant, Many great choices in cafe

Favourite spot - Edit
When my girlfriend and I were traveling we came here almost every weekend as a regular date night because the food was on another level.. there was always so many options to chose from and new items added to the menu all the time! It has a mini supermarket inside too, so great to take things home at the end. They have everything you can think of, sweet and savoury on the counters. We always took a cupcake home because they were the best! They have shakes, coffees, teas, take out or dine in. Can’t fault the place. Book in advance for the weekend as can get busy.

Meet all your vegan needz - Edit
Grocery store, fine dining, great people! Lovely little space with friendly staff and fine food. I had dinner here starting with Turkish bread drizzled in a balsamic glaze. Then the mushroom salad was more than filing. Sadly, I was too full for dessert, but then since that had a handy vegan grocery store I got some ice cream to go. They also had stocked some of my favorite self care products from Acure! I was over the moon.

Great Store, Average Brunch, Excellent Community - Edit
The Green Edge is an institution in Brisbane. Where it shines is its unwavering support for the vegan community, including workshops and special events. I recently went to a vegan nutrition workshop there that was practical and helpful, and I also went to their 'Vegan Ekka' event, which was just so much fun (I had a Strawberry Sundae and Dagwood Dog!)
Read moreThe supermarket section has a great range of vegan groceries, beauty, health and skincare plus low and zero waste and ethical products, including shoes, cookbooks and more. It also sells merchandise for Farm Animal Rescue (I bought my favourite vegan tee from there). They also have good specials.
Its cafe's breakfast/brunch menu is not strong or particularly interesting, and could be improved. It has a large range of meals and it was definitely a game-changer in Brisbane when it opened, but the market has changed. We used to go there for brunch/breakfast regularly but the food just wasn't as tasty as the two vegan options at the omni cafe closer to where we lived. HOWEVER, lunch is good and it is home to my absolute favourite lunchtime treat/hangover cure: the sublime meatball sub.
Pros: Great supporter of veganism in Brissie, Vegan groceries and products , Excellent 'meatball' sub
Cons: Unimpressive for brunch/breakfast

The waffles were insanely good! So keen to have them again when im in brisbane, the gnocchi was yum and the dressing on the salad wow! The garlic bread didnt need the balsamic vinegar that was on it and the hot chocolate drink wasn’t very chocolatey so wouldnt get that again. The coffee was weak too. The curry was yum! And the big breakfast yummo! Great range nice staff.

Best vegan café/restaurant! - Edit
We first weren't sure if we should go because the pics didn't convince us and the menu is bigger than usual in vegan restaurants but you shouldn't miss this place. Delicious Buddha bowl and a great cheese tomato gnocchi and ice cream for dessert. Will definitely come again:))

Love visiting the Green Edge and so far it is my preferred vegan restaurant in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area. Everyone in my family has their favourite meal that we end up choosing again and again. The restaurant has healthy through to less healthy options. It also has a vegan grocery store which is useful for obtaining those hard to find vegan products.

Went here twice while in Brisbane. First time I had the bacon and egg sandwich and my partner had the pancakes. Both were fantastic. The next time we shared the big breakfast. Beans were lacking in flavour a bit but everything else was spot on.
