The Green Cat - temporarily closed

I was disappointed to arrive and see a 'closed for winter' sign on the door.

had a great peanut bowl salad for lunch - one portion could easily satisfy two people but it's so tasty you won't want to share

This is one of my all time favorite places to eat. They serve everything from smoothie bowls to homemade soups and desserts.

Had a wonderful lunch today from the Green Cat. We eat no-added oil vegan food, and it's almost impossible to find tasty offerings in a restaurant. We noticed this new addition to Happy Cow a while back, but we often avoid oceanfront crowds during tourist season. Today we just happened to drive past & made an impromptu stop. It was AWESOME & we are dying to return to try other tasty-looking offerings. Everything was vegan, but our omnivore kids would like these offerings as well. Today we tried chili on brown rice and a sweet potato-broccoli soup. Both were great! Breakfast offerings looked good, too. Definitely a 5-star experience!

We live in Virginia Beach & work in Ghent (in Norfolk). We wish The Green Cat would fine a home in Ghent, as well. It would fit in there also!

Such a great cafe! The peach guacamole and "no chicken" salad were amazing, and their Hangover smoothie was delicious and very satisfying! Everyone working there was incredibly friendly. This place is a must if you're near Virginia Beach!
