Big Vegie / vegan Menu

We had a Tomato Salad (without Feta) and a curry. The tomato salad was just Tomatoes with some basil and bread. We would ask for avocado or something instead of the feta, but the communication with the waiter wasn’t easy. So we just had some green tomato slices for 2,5$...
The curry (for 3,5$) was spicy, but had no real other good taste.

All in all wasn’t it disappointing, but we had better food in Banlung.

Good, diverse food in a warm setting

I have eaten here twice with my partner. The first time I had a delicious slightly spicy tofu curry whilst my partner had tofu with noodles, which he also enjoyed. The second time we tried their veggie pizza which was a tasty american style pizza which outdid my expectations for the area. However you
would have to check if it can be made vegan

Great Vegan and friendly people

I had meals at The Green Carrot many times, they have various options for vegan and vegetarian food. I recommend vegetable sandwich, fried mixed veges with Tofu. They really prepared their meals freshly with a great taste. I really enjoyed my meals there!!!

Depedendably good; very friendly

The Green Carrot is one of my regular lunch places. It’s very friendly, with good English being spoken, and it offers a good choice of vegan Khmer cuisine, alongside other more western dishes such as pizza, pasta and salad. The tofu and vegetable curry is particularly recommended: it’s very flavourful, and a good, light lunch option. There is a cocktail bar attached, and there are fresh juices and good coffee. The seating area, shaded by creepers, is very pleasant, affording intimacy while at the same time enabling you to observe street life. No MSG is used in the cooking, which is prepared fresh to order (so there might be a wait if the kitchen is busy). Be clear when you order that you wish to avoid dairy, otherwise you might end up with a mango shake rather than a juice. They deliver with orders over $5.

Pros: Good vegan versions of Khmer dishes, Relaxed ambience, Chatting with the owners

Cons: Tattoo parlour next door can occasionally be noisy
