Good Quality, Tasty and Reasonable Prices - Edit
Last year I found the place in its old location in the city and I loved it. This year I was disappointed it had disappeared - just to discover it again in its new location just around the corner from the place where I stayed.
Read moreFood is still very tasty, people are friendly and it's good quality at very reasonable prices. A must for me when I get to Galway!

Delicious food and great people! - Edit
This is an awesome little, family-owned fully vegan restaurant in Galway, just a short walk from the main square. They’ve been perfecting their falafel for 20 years and it shows. I had both the falafel pita and the seitan wrap, but there were several other options as well. Portions were big, so the second meal wasn’t necessary, but welcomed :). Can’t recommend this place enough!

decent food, amazing dessert - Edit
all of the vegetables, falafel, and pita tasted very fresh, but nothing about it blew me away. i wish they mixed it all before putting it in the pita wrap because you ended up just having a mouthful of carrots or sauce instead of a blend. also a bunch of different things that i wanted to order weren’t available that day (kombucha, sundae, certain falafel meals). however, i ended up getting the banana bread and it was quite literally the best dessert (vegan or non vegan) i’ve ever had. it was thick, moist, rich, omg it was just perfect. i’m literally still thinking about it days later. go there for the banana bread if nothing else!!!!

Hi there, I usually don't comment on negative reviews on these website as the owner of the gourmet offensive, but in this case I felt compelled to do so as there last 2 reviews on here were given in our last few days of business.
Read moreThe reason that we didn't have everything on the menu is that it was the last time we were ever open.
It has been a very difficult journey for us to bring forced to leave our beloved restaurant but this is just a result of the times we are living in.
Might you feel compelled to find out what we are really about you can still find us on the st Nicolas market every weekend at at our pop up location in newcastle road on wed to Fri.
Thanks for your review

Okay food. - Edit
Perhaps it’s only my taste, looking at all the great reviews, but this place (the taste) did not impress me at all. The food is cheap and they have great selection. I waited a lot for my food. I had a large salad falafel bowl. The falafel (4 pieces) was nice. The sample of all different salads in the bowl and their taste was quite bland. The beatroot BBQ sauce had a nice color but not much taste. The pita bread on the side was hard and dry. Sorry for the 3*. There are way nicer vegan options in Galway.

So good - Edit
They were sadly out of the shawarma, so I got the traditional falafel wrap instead with mojo verde sauce. I loved it. It was a huge wrap for €7. It's packed with so many greens. My boyfriend got the not chicken roll which I loved even more. His roll/wrap was also €7 and slightly smaller than mine (average size wrap). We also had the cheesecake which was delicious. ALL VEGAN.

Offensive would've been something... - Edit
I tried a broad array of dishes with every sauce they had and although the portion sizes were nice, they were all completely flavorless. I'd suggest getting some Valentina's or Cholula from the asian food store just down the street to spice it yourself.

Good grub! - Edit
I've been there only once so far & ordered the beetroot wrap & chocolate brownie. The wrap was very heavily wrapped so was difficult to open, which I found out was because it was so messy with beetroot juice. Unavoidable with beetroot I suppose. It was a large jam packed wrap that took me two sittings to finish. The brownie was nice too. Next time I'm in Galway I'll try order something else from them.

Great vegetarian, vegan or meat free options in Galway - Edit
If you’re looking for vegetarian, vegan or meat free options in Galway then the Bean Tree is a great option for lots of healthy, take home meals. Some of my favourites include the Tarka Dal, Pea & Potato Curry and Aduki Bean Bake. They also offer gorgeous sweet treats including our favourite Orange Cake. They provide compostable containers, or if you order in advance you can bring in your own containers to fill.

the best place for vegan food in galway - Edit
as the title says this is obviously the best place for vegan food in galway with a comprehensive menu, great location and lovely staff. i usually go for the not chicken roll or the spice bag, both are great, and there's other great options. there's not much else to say about it, it speaks for itself.

Best Vegan Food in Galway! - Edit
Hands down the best vegan food you'll have in Galway. Don't look any further, The Gourmet Offensive will satisfy all your cravings. The staff is warm and welcoming and every item we tried was cooked to perfection.

We had the Original Worx, the Arancini burger, chips, the small salad and another salad and honestly I just feel like eating at TGO for the rest of our stay.
Only outdoor seating (3 tables in the sun) is available at the moment (due to Covid). They are socially distanced from each other and are not on a busy street.
The fresh carrot juice is a must try too.
I can't emphasize enough how amazing this place is, I'd honestly just come back to Galway to try the food.
Pros: Best vegan food in Galway and caring staff
Cons: None - don't look any further and go there
