Very warm and welcoming place. We really like momos. The owner Namdi was very friendly and chatty. The curries were very pleasant but personally I prefer more punchy flavours. Love the post it forward idea.

Food with heart - Edit
This wonderful community cafe and eatery is a friendly and welcoming space that offers honesty drinks and a no-pressure pay it forward meal scheme. Normally serving food from Tibetan Memories, we visited whilst they were cooking away meaning the kitchen was taken over by the fabulous Mahalia’s Kitchen, serving delicious Caribbean/Guyanese food.

Great food! - Edit
We really enjoyed the curry and opted for the waffles rather than a side. The biscoff waffles were so good too!
Read moreThey also have a “pay it forward” option for those who can’t afford to pay. Someone used one of these coupons while we were there. I love that idea!
I’m pretty sure the whole menu is vegan, but some of the cakes on the counter may not be. Needs to be double checked though

Such a nice vibe - Edit
You can see why this place is called the Good Heart, it sums it up so well. It warmed my heart.
Read moreThe food is nice, I would absolutely recommend the Momos (yum!) and the chickpeas and spinach sauce.
The lovely man that runs this was open to have a chat about his varied life and time as a monk, which was interesting.
It is a pay it forward cafe, where you can donate future meals for those in need.
Really a remarkable place all round.
Pros: Lovely food, Friendly, uplifting vibe, Really good value for money
Cons: The décor is a little basic, No parking, but can be found locally

A Truly Beautiful Place. - Edit
This place is truly beautiful in ethos and deed. We thoroughly enjoyed our food here, the Momos for starters followed by mixed veg curry and then bubble waffles for desserts washed down with chai tea. The prices are wonderful 2 people 3 courses and tea for £36 we also put some money into the pay it forward scheme. We were made to feel very welcome and it was a beautifully chilled place to come and eat. We left with big smiles on our faces and full stomachs. Superb and Thankyou.

Very kind people and great food - Edit
This place has a simple but really nice menu. Everything tastes good and you can pay forward for someone else’s meal which I think is really nice. Vulnerable people get to eat for free if they need it.

A Heart Warming Take Out. - Edit
We popped in for a Take Out.
Read moreSuper friendly owner, great comfort food, and the Sweetheart Momos were delicious with the chilli and soy sauce. The food is basic and simple but we expected that as we checked menu out on Facebook beforehand. We were just very glad to find somewhere fully vegan in an area where that is hard to come by. We liked the ethos of the place.

Hugely recommend!!! Loved visiting here while on a weekend trip to Frome. The food was simply delicious, filling and wholesome. The ethos of paying it forward is inspiring and I was really happy to support this restaurant, and really look forward to returning. It’s inexpensive and just awesome.

We had a wonderful lunch here. The food is simply amazing. Nandi the owner is lovely, courteous and attentive. Although the menu is small the flavours are BIG. If you are vegan and in Frome please try this lovely little establishment. The decor is very simple and cafe like but you aren’t eating the decor!!! The food is also very reasonably priced.

Nice owner. Very Limited menu. - Edit
Only had starter and tea. So cant comment on the main meal food. So only basing the review on the place itself and what we had (starter). I think the dining room needs some traditional music to help lift the atmosphere. Unfortunately there is only 3 curries on the menu for mains. We didnt feel like curry that day and since we had allready sat down, we just had the momo starter. It was £5 for 4 momos (x 2) and £2.50 for a cup of tea.(x2). £15 seemed alot for a few momos and 2 teas. Especially when the main/curry meal is also £5.
Read moreAlso could maybe add another traditional Tibetean dish as a main, other than just curry. Very nice and friendly owner, who has an interesting story. Also a nice concept that he has there for the pay it forward.
Just not a place to go for a variety of different options and is a bit of a canteen type atmosphere.

Thanks for your review. We tried having music but the feedback was generally that people like the peace and quiet! The momos take a lot of time to prepare (which is why they aren't a part of the Pay It Forward scheme) and are usually only for special occasions traditionally. The curries are priced to be filling, affordable meals that are enjoyed by the local community. All the best. Elissa
