Great curries

We tried their food at vegan camp out. We got the mix of curries(mix veg, potato & pea spinach and chickpea), Dahl and rice meal. The food was tasty and a good portion size

Different

Very warm and welcoming place. We really like momos. The owner Namdi was very friendly and chatty. The curries were very pleasant but personally I prefer more punchy flavours. Love the post it forward idea.

Pros: Games for the kids

Food with heart

This wonderful community cafe and eatery is a friendly and welcoming space that offers honesty drinks and a no-pressure pay it forward meal scheme. Normally serving food from Tibetan Memories, we visited whilst they were cooking away meaning the kitchen was taken over by the fabulous Mahalia’s Kitchen, serving delicious Caribbean/Guyanese food.

Pros: Warm and welcoming., Great food., Community focused.

Lovely place

This restaurant is an inspiring place where the owners clearly show kindness and caring for their community, and this shines through in every part of their lovely café. There is a wonderful relaxed atmosphere which is perfect for a visit and a wholesome home-cooked meal.
The plant-based food is amazing, with fantastic home-made veggie and chickpea curries on offer. The waffle desserts are incredible too!
Would recommend to anybody to stop in if you have the chance ☺️

Great food!

We really enjoyed the curry and opted for the waffles rather than a side. The biscoff waffles were so good too!

They also have a “pay it forward” option for those who can’t afford to pay. Someone used one of these coupons while we were there. I love that idea!

I’m pretty sure the whole menu is vegan, but some of the cakes on the counter may not be. Needs to be double checked though

Such a nice vibe

You can see why this place is called the Good Heart, it sums it up so well. It warmed my heart.
The food is nice, I would absolutely recommend the Momos (yum!) and the chickpeas and spinach sauce.
The lovely man that runs this was open to have a chat about his varied life and time as a monk, which was interesting.
It is a pay it forward cafe, where you can donate future meals for those in need.
Really a remarkable place all round.

Pros: Lovely food, Friendly, uplifting vibe, Really good value for money

Cons: The décor is a little basic, No parking, but can be found locally

A Truly Beautiful Place.

This place is truly beautiful in ethos and deed. We thoroughly enjoyed our food here, the Momos for starters followed by mixed veg curry and then bubble waffles for desserts washed down with chai tea. The prices are wonderful 2 people 3 courses and tea for £36 we also put some money into the pay it forward scheme. We were made to feel very welcome and it was a beautifully chilled place to come and eat. We left with big smiles on our faces and full stomachs. Superb and Thankyou.

Pros: Food, Atmosphere , Price

Simply divine

Such a gorgeous little place. Beautifully peaceful vibes, such a welcoming and friendly host/cook/owner, and really delicious food. Excellent value for money. Perfect-sized portions.
We were able to drink our own beer, and could pay by card/contactless (I noticed it says cash only on here).
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Pros: Totally vegan, totally delicious, Such a lovely owner , Beautiful ethos, pay it forward scheme etc

Very kind people and great food

This place has a simple but really nice menu. Everything tastes good and you can pay forward for someone else’s meal which I think is really nice. Vulnerable people get to eat for free if they need it.

A Heart Warming Take Out.

We popped in for a Take Out.
Super friendly owner, great comfort food, and the Sweetheart Momos were delicious with the chilli and soy sauce. The food is basic and simple but we expected that as we checked menu out on Facebook beforehand. We were just very glad to find somewhere fully vegan in an area where that is hard to come by. We liked the ethos of the place.

Beautiful ethos, completely delicious food

Hugely recommend!!! Loved visiting here while on a weekend trip to Frome. The food was simply delicious, filling and wholesome. The ethos of paying it forward is inspiring and I was really happy to support this restaurant, and really look forward to returning. It’s inexpensive and just awesome.

I had the momos, the dahl, mixed veg and beetroot salad. All delicious. My two year old daughter loved her food too - as well as my momos! - kids are welcomed and the kids portions are great value.

Do check it out next time you’re in Frome!

Amazing just amazing

We had a wonderful lunch here. The food is simply amazing. Nandi the owner is lovely, courteous and attentive. Although the menu is small the flavours are BIG. If you are vegan and in Frome please try this lovely little establishment. The decor is very simple and cafe like but you aren’t eating the decor!!! The food is also very reasonably priced.

Pros: Great good , Lovely owner , Very good value

AMAZING!

I found out by accident that this place exists and they're doing deliveries during the lockdown. The quality of the food is just amazing and it's such good value. OMG! You can literally eat yourself silly for about £10.
The sweetheart mom are so yummy. They taste just like they did when I have them in Nepal and they even deliver them with some soya sauce and chilli.

Pros: Flavourtastic, Great value for money, Home delivery during lockdown :-)

Good karma

Lovely place with a lovely philosophy. They offer a "pay it forward" where you can buy someone a meal and leave the voucher on the board. You could be cynical about this but I liked the idea

Pros: All vegan. Meals very reasonably priced

Cons: A hot drink was expensive in comparison to the, meals

Nice owner. Very Limited menu.

Only had starter and tea. So cant comment on the main meal food. So only basing the review on the place itself and what we had (starter). I think the dining room needs some traditional music to help lift the atmosphere. Unfortunately there is only 3 curries on the menu for mains. We didnt feel like curry that day and since we had allready sat down, we just had the momo starter. It was £5 for 4 momos (x 2) and £2.50 for a cup of tea.(x2). £15 seemed alot for a few momos and 2 teas. Especially when the main/curry meal is also £5.
Also could maybe add another traditional Tibetean dish as a main, other than just curry. Very nice and friendly owner, who has an interesting story. Also a nice concept that he has there for the pay it forward.
Just not a place to go for a variety of different options and is a bit of a canteen type atmosphere.

Thanks for your review. We tried having music but the feedback was generally that people like the peace and quiet! The momos take a lot of time to prepare (which is why they aren't a part of the Pay It Forward scheme) and are usually only for special occasions traditionally. The curries are priced to be filling, affordable meals that are enjoyed by the local community. All the best. Elissa

Pros: Delicious food, prepared fresh , Friendly service, Good value
