We love the Good Good. We got our wedding cake and many birthday cakes here. It is an absolute tragedy that they had to close the restaurant because the owner was killed by a car. She was such a wonderful person. We are so glad we can still honor her memory with bakery orders.

I LOVED THIS PLACE, and it closed. It doesn't even have the hours listed in a previous review. Apparently they still bake (the most incredible vegan croissants!) for other places, but I can no longer pop over for lunch. Such a shame. I ate there four or five times, and everything was delicious.

“If I could have the taste of the truffle melt in my mouth 24/7, I would” My girlfriend and I were down in SoCal for a vegan gastrotour, hunting out all the best spots, and I gotta say, you know you’ve hit the mother lode if you specifically go back to a place on your last day just to savor it again. The Good Good is that place. The flavors, textures, smells, all of that was present. We even got to chat with the owner, Valorie, practically begging her to make a trip up to SF and bring her Good Good with, which she said she would, hopefully soon 🤞 get the truffle melt, meat and potatoes and avocado toast. Honestly though, everything was amazing

First of all, they open at 10:00 not at 9:00! Always check Google first before you spend 1h driving through LA just to see that they‘re not open. 🥲
Read moreBut, their food made it up! Best food we‘ve had on our USA trip. I had the Falafel Bowl, which looks fancy, tastes amazing and is very filling. The Avo Toast is not just what u expect, they top it with Falafel, Sauce, Tomatoes etc.! It‘s apparently the best of LA, which is very true. Their food is European style which is just amazing. Finally a restaurant that knows how to make good bread and pastries. 🙏🏼

I ordered the tomato and mozzarella pastry (vegan of course) and the meat and potatoes in a pita at this small bakery/restaurantbwithboutbdiir seating. Hearty and very tasty! The outdoor seating area is a perfect place to fire up your laptop and get some work done while you full up on snacks and food. #Veganuary

Twice have had the Pita Stuffed Meat & Potatoes ($10.50) - which is 'crispy baked scallion potatoes / smoky aioli / house ground mushroom meat / sauergraut' which you can get on their Matnakash" traditional finger pulled Armenian flat bread. SUPER tasty and a unique dish you can't find elsewhere. Their smaller taco options are also super tasty and they have several vegan deserts which are excellent. The only bummer is they are open til 3pm, which is frustrating because a lot of their food is so rich that is is more 'dinner' food to me. Which means you may need to think as take out. They have a casual, shaded outdoor seating area, which is a nice respite from the concrete jungle of that part of town.

Dreams of mushroom croissants, truffle sandwiches, and the delicious pastries come to mind when I think of the good good. This place is a MUST. I will be back again one day.

I found them with a Google search while looking for a birthday cake for my oldest son's birthday. They were responsive and friendly via email . I was able to quickly confirm and order and pick-up date for the cake. When pick-up day came we had car troubles and missed our pick-up time. When I called the shop to apologize and let them know it would be past their closing time before I could make it out she said no problem! She stated to to rush and she'd be there...I was almost in tears. We got there 40 minutes after closing and she was smiling and greeted us warmly. She showed us the cake before we left and it was perfect. We then took the cake on 2 flights and enjoyed it 3 days later and it was still fresh and delicious. Moist and flavorful but not too sweet. I can only imagine what it tasted like same day!

I swear the pastries here are so rich and moist. The cakes are amazing. I just wish their hours were a little longer but thats not a huge problem especially in this pandemic. I highly recommend this place when you are craving somethin sweet.

Finally got to try @thegoodgoodla! It’s so tiny and cute! I got the pita stuffed ‘meat’ (mushrooms) and potatoes, minus the sauerkraut and spicy aoli. If you know me, you know I can’t do cabbage or spicy. They were super nice and offered to add avocado instead but that’s another food I have to be careful with 😅. Ya I have problems. Anyways, it was very tasty! Alittle oily for my liking but I’m used to avoiding oil so could just be me. The side of kale salad was very flavorful too, had a citrusy dressing. Unfortunately their desserts got wiped out earlier in the day so I didn’t get to see everything they offer, but there’s always next time. I look forward to trying their ‘coming soon’ egg sandwich.
