NOT Always lovely home cooked food - Edit
Updated 14/12/25 attitude of staff was terrible. Also despite advising in advance that I am vegetarian. They didn’t have the vegetarian/vegan option that was on the menu and instead offered a vegetarian/vegan curried pie. Our table was booked for 12:30 and we ordered food at 1pm. Despite them being open until 4pm, we were shocked that they didn’t have a vegetarian Sunday lunch option (curry not really going with roast vegetables). When we first queried it, we were questioned if we had advised in advance. Not that it made any difference! They eventually after much arguing with both my husband and I, agreed to make a mushroom and sprout pie (instead of the advertised mushroom and thyme pie). The whole experience created a lot of bad feeling and ruined our meal out.
Read moreWe’ve never had a bad meal here. Not many options. Usually 3 meat and one veg on a Sunday. Upon ordering asked if I could as veggie or vegan so they could tailor the meal accordingly. Lots of board games and children’s portions. Lovely family pub
