Great - Edit
I’ve been here several times and enjoyed everything I’ve had. It’s a relaxed and friendly space. The prices are reasonable. One of my favourites in glasgow.

Chilled meal - Edit
I didn't really feel like a burger or pizza so got the cheesy aubergine, and some chips and cheese to fill me up, and a beer. I do prefer their brunch menu dishes as there’s a bit more variety for my tastes, but was here this time for a weeknight dinner.
Read moreThey didn't have the desserts from the menu available, but they did have several cakes, so my companion got a brownie and they were able to provide ice cream and sauce with it. Service was great. Gave it an aspirational 5 stars, next time I'm going for lunch!

A cosy and creative setting for a good feed - Edit
First time eating here and it was the perfect way to end a 2 day camping trip, we had the breakfast focaccia and the mushroom ramen.
Read moreI highly recommend both options, the focaccia was incredible combined with the vegan cheese and mushrooms and the soup the ramen came in was so flavourful and warming.
We will definitely be back for food and events now that we have discovered this wonderful space!
Pros: Accessible , Friendly and welcoming service , Storage for bags!

Noteworthy - Edit
The food here is really great and the atmosphere is always lovely. It can feel a bit cramped depending where you are sitting though.

Serves meat - totally disappointing - Edit
Used to be such a nice place to eat but the kitchen has been taken over by the venue themselves (used to host veggie/vegan pop-ups) and has unfortunately started selling meat. Few vegan options left.

Lunch review - Edit
There are a few vegan options here, amongst the abundance of eggs! The full breakfast is good, but I decided to try the fried tofu/black pepper sauce baguette this time. Disappointing. I think the flavour and saltiness would be overpowering for most people - so heavy on the sauce that it felt like a chore to eat. I’ve felt this a few times here, with both the lunch and evening menu. The seaweed fries are always a treat though! And the service is guaranteed to be friendly and laidback while still efficient.
Read moreA few more vegan cake options would be a great addition, and an easy adjustment to make.
Pros: Pleasant atmosphere. , Enough vegan options for mains., Good service.
Cons: Not enough vegan sweet options. , Some overpowering dishes.

Great timing - Edit
Always bars to judge a book by its cover.
Read moreThe Hug & Pint are presently doing the evening menu at Glad.
Love the Korean slant on food so hard to go wrong.
It's an odd one as the food changes all the time an the lunchtime menu is really egg central, but veggie. Night time as this present moment is 100% vegan. Yum.
Pros: Tasty

Interesting space with vegan options. Also a bar and has live events. Nice to have somewhere like this in the Shawlands area.

Nice food, but cakes are too sweet - Edit
I really like the atmosphere at the Glad cafe and the kimchi pancakes tasted really nice (and were not too expensive given the portion size).
Read moreI also had some coffee and cake and the coffee was just of a very average quality and the cake was overly sweet and filling.
Pros: Nice food, Host for interesting concerts / events
Cons: Not so nice coffee and cake
