A local, village pub with a dedicated separate vegan menu (provided on a chalk board). There were several vegan options. The staff were friendly. The décor was super appealing and the restaurant has a dog-friendly outdoor seating area.
Read moreThe food I got was nice but it also wasn't what I ordered. From the vegan menu I ordered a spicy, chilli burrito with salad and with vegetables instead of chips. What was presented to me was a "chicken" burrito with salad and chips. The food was tasty and the portions were large, but it wasn't what I was expecting.
My overwhelming memory though was the speed. Two other members of our party ordered starters, and they did not arrive until about 50 minutes after our reservation. The mains then took roughly the same time to arrive after the starter plates were taken away. So we weren't served our mains until almost two hours after sitting down!
Like I said, the food was tasty but it did take an awfully long time to arrive!
Pros: Tasty, Large portions, outdoor dog-friendly seating
Cons: SLOW!, Didn't receive what I had ordered
