Serves meat, vegan options available. Traditional English pub & restaurant. The menu changes seasonally but normally includes two starters, two mains, a dessert and a Sunday roast. Examples could be soup of the day, mushrooms on toast, onion tart with chips & salad, lasagna with chips, salad and garlic bread and apple crumble with vegan vanilla ice cream for dessert. Open Wed-Sat 12:00-15:00, 18:00-23:00, Sun 12:00-18:00. Closed Mon-Tue.

Delicious home cooked food in a lovely setting - Edit

I love the George Inn, it’s such a warm and cosy little pub. It is family run and everyone who works there is lovely.

They have clearly marked vegan options on the menu, and everything is homemade so you know exactly what is in your meal. I started with the soup, which is always vegan, and it comes with bread and vegan butter. My husband had mushrooms on toast in a creamy sauce. Both were delicious!

For the main course I had the onion tart with chips and salad, and my husband had the lasagna with chips, salad and garlic bread. Again, both were yummy! They did have a vegan dessert option, and they make their own vegan ice cream, but we were too full to try it!

It is very reasonably priced and there is a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. The menu changes seasonally, and they also offer a Sunday roast. Definitely worth a visit!
