Spectacular

Vegan Sunday roast, wellington style with roast potatoes, broccoli and parsnips etc. The Wellington was very nice rather than a careless effort that they so often can be. Maybe my favourite vegan roast. Great pudding too.

Lots of vegan options

This a lovely pub with a nice outside space for eating. Staff were helpful and friendly. I had the Smokey Squash Sausage & Vegan Meatball Calzone which was plentiful & delicious. I felt that the desserts were overpriced though. £7.95 for a small piece of chocolate salted caramel cheesecake!

Friendly staff and tasty food

I had the vegan calzone, which was so good. I especially like the vegan cheese they used! As it was a nice day we sat outside on a bench, and there’s a way to order online so we could just relax and order from our table.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a place that not only allows dogs, but has a separate doggy menu! This was not vegan though so depends how you feel about that. They even have blankets and water bowls for your dog.

Good vegan choice but disappointing flavours

We were excited to find a local pub that had several vegan options, not something you come across very often. I had the lentil and quinoa cottage pie and my partner had the mushroom burger, but sadly we were both disappointed by the lack of flavours and mushy textures. The pie was like a flavourless quinoa soup topped with mash. Really friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere, but would be good to see more vegan options with a bit more flavour!

Delicious

After a long walk we were very happy to enjoy a delicious 2 course lunch here as we were so happy to see some delicious choices 😁
We had the cashew nut pâté , soya bean garlic bruschetta, mushroom and truffle burger and quinoa and lentil cottage pie - all delicious. And they had the eat out to help out still on making it even better 😁

Pros: Delicious options , Great flavours

Cons: Quite pricey if no offer had been on

Great Sunday roast!

Very impressed with the vegan options and quality of the food. 5 main course options (in addition to decent starters and desserts) including a very impressive roast which came with delicious vegan gravy and a vegan cauliflower cheese!

Pros: Great vegan options , Good variety

Cons: Expensive

Wow - worth 5*

I was on vacation in the area for 2 weeks and ended up visiting here 3 times during my stay. I had the beetroot burgers, nut roast on the Sunday and the quinoa/lentil cottage pie. I also had the vegan bread basket starter, the filo pastry parcel starter, the hummus plus vegan sticky toffee and brownie desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious!

Pros: Very friendly staff, Good price, Excellent quality food

100% worth a visit

Absolutely delicious roast dinner. Plenty of vegan options too. My partner had sticky toffee pudding and I had chocolate brownie for dessert and they were both fantastic. Lots of vegan wines/ ales to choose from too. Great pub which makes an effort for those eating vegan. Would give it 5 star but happycow doesn't let you choose 5 anywhere that serves meat.

Pros: Good portion, Friendly staff, Excellent food

a fantastic find!

This pub has great staff who were so friendly and helpful. Delicious food and great venue indoors and out.
They have five vegan options, plus starter and dessert options! I was too full from my vegan lasagne to fit a pud in so will just have to go back and try again :)
Planning to try their vegan roast next!

Food for our whole family!

Despite our Vegan daughter not being with us, we had a very good lunch last Sunday. Three generations, all vegetarian, including one who dislikes mushrooms, peas, dried fruit, creamy things (and so forth).

We all skipped Starters as we suspected that portions would be generous. Two of us had veggie Nut Roast, complete with Yorkshire pudding and cauliflour cheese. One had vegan Chilli (vegan Quorn mince based) and the other Pumpkin & Chickpea Curry (again vegan). We couldn't fault any of it.

Unusually for me, I managed to finish everything on my plate (Nut Roast), although there were a few veg left in side dish. Liked having a separate jug of (veggie) gravy.

Puddings. I had the [much better than I expected] Cardamon & Rice Pudding Samosas. Four small filo samosa filled with what tased like a coconut milk based sticky-rice flavoured with cardamon. To my delight it wasn't sweet and the passion fruit sorbet on the side was the ideal foil. Two had normal choc brownies with ice cream, one had a vegan version served with vegan ice cream.

Given it was a packed Sunday lunchtime, we thought the service was pretty speedy - 20 mins from ording to service (don't forget we didn't have starters). However, both serving staff and management apologised for the wait!

Staff were polite & very efficient without being intrusive. Pricing is reasonable for good quality food. Booking is strongly advised for Sunday lunch.

Pros: Home-made vegan pub food, Good selection
