Location and food great, dog friendly - Edit
We phoned ahead to check vegan options available and were happy that we had 8 mains to choose from. We booked our table and got a nice table with a sea view.
Read moreOverall, it was tidy and quite nice- although there was a really grubby fish tank which needed a good clean or getting rid of. I couldn’t tell from where I was sat if there were any fish in there!
I took it to be vegan ‘friendly’ because the vegan section was basically half a side of the whole menu and they’d been really nice on the phone when I booked.
However, when I asked at the bar if they had a white wine that was okay for vegans, I was taken aback and disappointed to be met with the comment ‘there’s no meat in any of our wines’ from a lady behind the bar who wasn’t even the person serving me.
My food arrived with two little butter packets next to my potatoes, which is obviously inappropriate when someone orders off the vegan section of the menu.
All that said, the food was good, and except for that one staff member’s bizarre behaviour the others were very lovely and there was a nice atmosphere, especially if you like dogs as there’s a tin of biscuits and a little menu where you can get something for them if you want to treat your dog.
Shame about the couple of blips, it would otherwise be a stronger recommendation!

Great staff and food. Booking advised. - Edit
Staff were great and squeezed us in without a booking, even though they had a large party arriving. Good choice of main meals. I had the tagine, which was lovely. My partner had the chilli and really enjoyed it. Only option for dessert was vegan ice-cream. I have posted a photo of the menu from our visit on 24.08.22.

Very good vegan menu - Edit
We ate here for lunch and the vegan menu was very good. I had a Thai curry pie and my husband had a vegan burger. They also had other options. There were about 6 vegan options.
