Amazing vegan pub food. The mushroom burger is delish!

Was so excited to try this place but one of the meals advertised as vegan was not actually vegan, which I discovered after trying it. Wouldn't recommend

This has been a regular haunt for me for a while and it's nice to be able to eat vegan in a pub (accompanied by a pint of vegan beer or cider if you wish. Tap beers and ciders change so check they're vegan but there are always a couple of vegan ones). Having asked a lot of questions I feel secure about everything advertised as vegan being properly vegan, like vegan food being deep-fried separately. Last weekend I again had the mushroom and quinoa burger, which I like even if it is a bit no-frills. My partner had the pulled tempeh roll, which had a nice barbecue flavour. Both of these came with chips and sauce (which was too sweet for me). Another regular order for me is the vegan burrito, which is not too bad, smothered in guacamole. (Be sure to specify vegan. Modifiable vegetarian options are clearly marked.) The pumpkin and lentil balls are a little sweet for my liking but I have a friend who loves them. Like a lot of pubs the meal prices aren't cheap and you'll pay $18 or more for a vegan main. For the first time last night I noticed there was a vegan dessert option of a chocolate brownie and vegan ice cream, so I had to order it. It wasn't quite $10-worth but the brownie was good and the ice cream was fine if you don't mind coconut. I've always find the staff pleasant and helpful here and the pub atmosphere is nice. It's worth a visit and a place to have on your list if you dine out.
