Serves meat, vegan options available. Historic pub & restaurant on the edge of the Peak National Park with views of the surrounding countryside. Offers pumpkin & red pepper pate, vegan 'fish' & chips made from cider battered banana blossom, sweet potato, spinach and red onion lasagne, harissa mixed bean and pulled oat burrito, spiced bean burger, sweet & smokey cauliflower steak with veg gravy (Sunday), spiced red wine poached pear pudding and chocolate brownie. Open Wed-Thu 12:00-20:00, Fri-Sat 12:00-21:00, Sun 12:00-18:00. Closed Mon-Tue. Open bank hols 12:00 - 6 pm.

Clearly marked vegan and gluten-free options - Edit
This is a lovely dog friendly traditional pub with several rooms an outdoor seating area and even a childrens play area, so something for everyone. food here was all of excellent quality and the vegan - including vegan and gluten free - options were clearly marked which gives confidence they know what they are doing. The menu is quite small as everything is cooked fresh by the pubs own chef. Even so there were two starters, three mains and two desserts that are both vegan and gluten free.
